I know what restaurant you are talking about dave and for the life of me can't think of the name. It is on the main drag going North away from North Myrtle. There is a small sign that says somethign like ____ Restaurant this way. We were going out of the city and were scared we would see no more restaurants for a while so we turned around and took that road. If you are going north the road will be on your left. That is all I can tell you, sorry.
Chucks Steakhouse, near all the seafood buffets in North Myrtle, has an excellent happy hour. Free cheese, popcorn and pretzels plus half priced appetizers and $2 big beers.
i just read blondies wt review and it made me angry.
how can the society continue to place more importance on pioneering than getting an education or getting a good job?
why do these men insist on making young ones (and even older members) feel bad for wanting to have a secure future, what the hell is wrong with not wanting to live in a tent?
GET EM LOLA!!
A whole new world has opened up to me. I am MUCH more open minded. But, I guess you Have to be a little open minded to begin with to leave in the first place.
with all the meetings jw's attend each week, why do they need a district assembly or circuit assembly?.
is it to show how big the organization is or is it just to baptize a few.. couldn't this be done staying in their home town.
is there a financial advantage to the watchtower to have these assemblies out of town ?.
So you will have to spend at least two of the ten vacation days you get from work in forced service to Jah.
what the heck.
i'm sitting here with idle time.
ok, so what's so great about that?
Wonderful news!!!
i just had an encounter with a man at the bank and i'm still shaking:.
i pull up to the bank to use the atm ( atm in small lobby), i park next to a large truck and next to the truck was another car.
there was 1 man using the atm, and no one in line or outside.
That is pretty crazy. Glad you are alright.
http://www.hbo.com/biglove/episode/season2/episode15.html .
nicky on hbo's big love last night asked her husband if he missed the commune, then said, "i left 100 in this place to live with 10 in the suburbs.
" (or something like that) her husband asked if she regretted it, and she said no, but began weeping.
I get exactly what you are saying. And while I see tons of paralells, especially with the girl going to the exmorman support group, I see a lot of differences also. Like when that lady told the prophet's soon to be youngest wife, "You had better be in tact" I let out a "WHAT??" with a strange look at my hubby.
i attended friday's part of the 2007 district convention "follow the christ" with my believing wife.
we survived the limited parking and crowded seating (although large sections of the auditorium had been shut off).
we suffered the monotonous program delivered by robotic speakers reading rehashed outlines.. so why did i love this convention?.
AWESOME, CONGRATULATIONS!!
for those of you active jws, though mentally inactive of course, do you you approach the disfellowshipped?.
there was a disfellowshipping announced in my congregation last week and i had the mind to talk to her.
there is also a dfed brother that lives on my street.
I would just wave and say hi and see what kind of response I get. If it is positive then talk to them. Do it more than once, because they may just be confused the first time. If after three tries of waving and saying hello, they do not respond, then let it be.
OT: Welcome Timbob. I am so sorry that you experienced that.
