  Ever have a "paranormal" event or experienced something unexplicable?

  once when i was returning from work i decided to take a short cut home.

  it was the halloween week and ppl had their houses decked out.

  i turned into a dark road that has a house just every so often.

  Wow those were some good drugs.

  I had an experience once, creeped me out. I was walking through a shopping center parking lot and brushed this guys arm in passing. Suddenly I saw in my head that man molesting and kidnapping kids. It was in flashes kind of like the dead zone. I stopped and turned around to find him staring at me. I kept walking to my car trying to figure out what I should do. I wanted to call 911 and tell them about this guy but who would believe me? I had no proof just some weird flashes of evil. So I continued to my car wanting to get he he!! out of dodge. I get in my car, look up and the man is still watching me, like he KNEW I knew he was evil. I hightailed it out of there. I have never had such an experience before or again. I don't want to.

  my online friend who was baptized at 12 years old has finally decided she couldn't make it as a jw anymore.

  with 2 dfs and major depression under her belt, no longer will she be living her life for the elders.

  until armageddon comes" since she's a goner anyway (serving jehovah with wrong motivation, not out of love).. her father recently died, .

  I'm on a bit of a mission

  those who don't know my story- was brought up a jw, married young (dumb idea), divorced, kinda fell for the 1st person that came along, that didnt work, now kinda sat pondering where the hell the past decade has gone!

  i'm on the hunt for some of my old friends, both people that have had the sense the leave the jw's as well as my old mates from school and college that were good friends- and must of put up with some weird behavior from me (no xmas and birthday cards, no attending of birthday parties etc etc).

  i've managed to get into contact with one or 2 which is great, especially one who asked if i was still aa jw , which i was so pleased to be aable to say i wasn't!

  Oddly enough most of my school friends had forgotten I was a JW. It was such a big deal to me, but apparently not to them. Good luck at locating them. I suggest myspace.com or facebook.com

  Meeting unknown ex dubs for first time

  i personally haven't met any ex jws for many years now, but if you happened to meet one you never met before what's the interaction like?

  is there a sense of identity and solidarity due to a common past or no special chemistry going on?

  would you pursue a friendship with such a person?

  I learn so much when we have our meetups. Things I never would have thought of on my own. Plus it is nice to have others who understand what it is like to be shunned.

  i spoke to my niece yesterday back home and she is getting married in april 08 to a non jw, she was baptized at 15 and has faded well.

  her mother, my evil oldest sister, has told her that she will not be attending nor is she interested in offering support of any kind and i was furious; my husband and i were both enraged enough to add a lot about their evil shunning practice to our already-written letter, and the hate with which they practice it.

  it made the break truly feel completely natural and right, right now, and to quote their evil songbook, now's the time to prove we're true!!!.

  No, I hate the fact that I am loud, I hate the fact that I am slightly overweight despite having to workout, I hate the fact that I am incapable of relaxing and having a good time without some type of liquid assistance and so on. But there is nothing I can do about it so I just have to accept it and wonder why in the world anyone hangs out with me.

  I Believe She's Trying to Get me Disfellowshipped!

  i've tried to be nice about it, perhaps i'm just a little too nice when dealing with her.

  ok, my ex-fiancee started blowing up my phone again and leaving voicemails.

  i considered changing my number weeks ago but changed my mind when her calls stopped but i might need to consider it now.

  I would call your service provider and see if there is a way to block her number. Crazy. Hope it all sorts itself out soon.

  that is, letter of disassociation and denunciation, i like that word.

  .in person in the door of one of our ex-elders and via email to him and a few others.

  there was an added level of peace in doing that, which neither of us expected.

  i have recently reaquainted with an old school friend of mine and her wife.

  everytime we get together, there is drama of some sort, usually harmless.

  this past saturday they had a kegger.

  I feel caught between the need to have friends and at the same time not wanting to invest the time and effort in making them.

  Yeah, I have that issue to. I am not entirely sure it is a healthy mindset. Thankfully I met my hubby years ago and he is the only one I latch onto.

  Well if I had actually baptised myself to God and Christ as I thought I had, I would count it. Since it turns out I baptised myself to an organization of men, I no longer consider it acceptable. How was I supposed to know that at 13??
