Welcome!!
Lisa
so yesterday i was driving down the freeway talking on the phone with my jw mom.
i asked when she and my dad would want to go out to dinner with me and my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years.
she tells me 'your father and i can't share a meal with you.
Welcome!!

Good grief...it's bad when you have to pull out "Mystery, Alaska" to get a hockey fix these days. Don't get me wrong...Russell Crowe on skates ain't nuthin' to sneeze at...
come to think of it...it ain't bad at all..
well..if you'll excuse me...I think I'll go put in a movie and dust off my hockey shrine.
Y'all play nice and don't run with scissors while I'm gone.

anything that you've regretted, that "if only" you could take it back, you would??
?
I'm sure if I thought long and hard, I would come up with dozens of things to take back. Mis-spoken words/deeds. My first marriage (wife-beater). But, even with the mistakes (some of which were huge...see first marriage reference), I wouldn't change a thing. Each event in our lives makes us who and what we are now. If we learn the lesson, we move forward.
From my first marriage, I learned survival. From my second marriage, I was blessed with my son. From the third, I learned that I will not tolerate lies.
If I were to take anything back...I would not be who I am today. Sure there are some regrets. But I wouldn't change a thing.

this is a thread from ivillage.
the admission from these women is a real eye opener.
i think it's easier for a mother to be more honest when she's talking to other mothers.
Even without reading the thread, I will say I have no regrets. None.
My son is the light of my life. Nobody said it would be easy. And if I could change one thing...I wouldn't because it might mean that I wouldn't have my son.

Happy Happy Birthday

......when you wake up sad and annoyed, and it just goes downhill fast from there?
when all of your clothes make you feel fat, and you want breakfast but you've rummaged through the fridge and all of the cupboards and nothing sounds good, and your cheerful s/o is just making you feel worse with their attempts to make you feel better, and you can't find your favorite book anywhere, and the littlest things get on your nerves for no reason, which just makes you even more irritable because you know you're being childish but can't help it, and everything just plain sucks?
any suggestions for the terminally cranky?.

I do know that men need that kind of pampering every bit as much as women. I'm a firm believer. Generally, then don't expect it and are caught off-guard. I was asked, "Why are you doing this? Why are you spoiling me?" "Because you need it, baby. Now hush and relax."
