What if I am a disfellowshipped public school teacher?
by bsand20 incould a parent put in a complaint to the school district and request that their child be transferred out of my classroom because i am exjw?
if they give me the jw school brochure (do they still do that?
sorry its been 16years since i've been out) can i just tell them i'm familiar with their teachings or should i just pretend i'm new to their teachings?....i'm a freshman in college so i have still a long ways before this situation is presented, however i"m trying to get prepared for it.

When you become a teacher......NEVER let any JW parent know you are a DF'd X-JW. They could play the DF card against you and cause trouble for you.

I agree. It being 11 days now, it would be a big undertaking for someone who would do this to feed & house all those people. I still think the plane was put down in a very deep part of the southern Indian ocean in order to not be found. Someone wanted this plane and all people & things onboard to not make it to Bejing China.

Troubling experience at 1 day assembly re: little jw child
by williamhconley injust had my 1day assembly this weekend.
an experience given by the bethel speaker was quite troubling and shows how jw's live in constant paranoia, anxiety and they isolate themselves from normal living.. a first grade class was having a fire drill.
everyone ( except one) lined up and stood outside away fron the classroom in the grass.

The JW's would laugh with glee at "worldly people" being destroyed if their Amageddon fantasies came true. The JW religion is very dysfunctional. People need to wake up and get out of the religion so that they can begin a normal happy life for themselves and their children.

The teacher asked him why didn't he walk out with the rest of his classmates and the boy answered "well I know christmas is bad and also birthdays but firedrills....Im not too sure so I stayed". The audience laughed and applauded...

Just wow......the audience laughed and applauded. Those poor little JW kids get so brainwashed by the Watchtower that they don't even know what normal things to do. It went right over the audience's head how cultic this experience the Bethel speaker related was.
To JW lurkers out there......please get your children out of this cult so that they can begin to have normal happy lives.

So many possible terroristic senarios. I don't think the continential US is a target. After 9/11 it would be much harder to get a plane past the US air defenses.
If the passengers were taken to a higher altitude in order to suffocate them, then this hijacking is for terrorism. A hijacking scheme for money would most likely keep the passengers alive.
It could possibly be a terroristic plot eventually against an Israel or China city.

Over 7yrs as a JW and I just found out I'm not supposed to buy Girl Scout Cookies?
by Maat13 ini'm still in the matrix(the truth), but 'morpheus' and his team are valiantly working on a way to get me out.
in the meantime, everyday i am discovering so much about being a jw i never knew, like don't buy girl scout cookies, that i keep asking myself "what have i got myself into".. maat.
really lame for a first post, but i figure i should start some where.

I've been out a very long time, but it was always a no no for a JW to openly mention buying girl scout cookies. This was something a person did privately. Anytime the subject of buying girl sciut cookies came up in a JW group setting, then you could expect the standard Watchtower cultspeak on why it was bad.

I'm now thinking it is less likely that the missing Malaysia flight 370 was a hijacking to sell the plane and get hostage money. I heard one report that claimed the plane had many hours on it. I would think hijackers for profit would arrange to take a newer plane in order to sell it on the black market. Hostage demands would probably have been made known by now.
The fact that this flight was diverted from the much shallower Gulf of Thailand in the opposite direction to the much deeper Indian Ocean makes it a possiblity that someone wanted this jet to go down in deep water and not be found.
