Something Big is Coming...

the annual meeting of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses will be in october 2014.. .. in november 2013, just after the last one they published this now famous statement in the 15th of november 2013 watchtower page 16 paragraph 17 says:.

"at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.

all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".

Governing Body hyping something big coming to the dubs? LOL Wash, rinse & repeat, same ole same ole, etc. There are some major JW doctrines that if changed would really show this religion to be false. Anyone who would stay after certain changes is just a braindead JW drone who loves the JW lifestyle of worshipping the organization.

IMO....the major doctrines they cannot touch is.

1) Jehovah is their God, Jesus is Son of God, no Trinity.

2) No hell fire suffering for wicked.

3) No immortal soul.

4. Paradise earth for humans.

5. Only 144,000 going to heaven.

The 144,000 only going to heaven doctrine is very deeply rooted in the JW religion. I just don't see how the GB could toss that belief after all these years and anyone remaining believe anything they say afterwards. Of course, this new GB put out "over-lapping" generation.

Sounds like this affair is known by others. How did you find out about it? Typical Watchtower reasoning. He will probably sleep with another man's wife, but tell her he is not allow to have oral sex.

Is this a new "This Generation" or not?

first of all i want to express my sincere gratitude to atlantis and his good friends for making this 2014 book available.. ------------.

as i see it, and i am absolutely open to contradiction, the wts appears to be giving another new meaning to this generation.

this time the term means all of his anointed followers, including his immediate disciples.

With the recent new light, at least the older JWs now believe that they will remain married to their spouses after resurrection in the new world and they will still be either female or male. The GB does give them some things at times.

Another disgusting Watchtower flip-flop. I remember the Watchtower teaching that those resurrected will not get to re-marry their spouse. Then I remember all the scandalous marriages where an old elders wife of decades would die and 6 months later he marries a woman young enough to be his daughter. Now.....looks like their are going to be a lot of pissed-off JW wives being resurrected. LOL

I get so confused with their constant generation teaching changes. So when will they need to make another adjustment to this teaching? In other words when does this other generation start dying off? 2025? 2035?

As a younger Dub back in the 80's I remember reading a nicely written article in one of the major news magazines that stated the JW religion is the on ly religion that has put an expiration date on itself. The article talked about the Watchtower's belief about the 1914 generation would not pass away until the end came. The article concluded that either the JW's will be right or they will have to come up with something to extend time in their favor. Now....we have the "over-lapping" generation teaching. Wonder if that news writer is still alive and knows this?

This is so different from the Watchtower religion that I remember that it is like watching Bizzaro world. I have come to the conclusion that the JW Governing Body could in short time make JW's into JW Pentecostals, Jonestown martyrs, or whatever they felt like making them into. This religion is nothing but all about obeying any current Governing Body directives and worshipping the Organization.

The JW beliefs change so much and have become so complicated that I am sure many do not really understand enough to explain it. They would probably have to be corrected if told to explain it by the elders. Amazing that you cannot understand it or explain it, but if you disagree with it you are an apostate and can lose your family over it.

Are Jdubs going to put the elderly out to pasture with JW.org?

it will be interesting to see how things play out...but one example which got me to thinking about this is my mother.

my mom is a 76 year old regular pioneer (she is one of those who believes that you are "nothing" if you are not a pioneer...the position is everything)-.

i am moving in two weeks to go to grad school, so i have been trying to go out to visit...say goodbye...do things for her before i leave.

if you don't like being a jehovah's witness or going to the kingdom hall or the society then leave.... it's as simple as that... .

i left several years ago and have not been hounded, bothered or sought out by anyone.

i still see them from time to time, and yes, they do pour out the love bomb when you run into them, but eh, you know what?

What you are saying sounds good on the surface, but many people have different circumstances. I too was able to leave without losing anything, but it was only because of the circumstances of my leaving. People have left like you say and lost family & employment. Each person has to weight their decision to leave this cult very carefully.

With the internet......nowdays, it is so easy to research and see how from so many different perspectives that the Watchtower is a man-made religion. Just look at how dysfunctional Charles Russell and Joseph Rutherford's marriages were and the hints of affairs. Not even considering the bat-shit crazy stuff that they taugh & believed, but when you read about their married lives and see the dysfunction in it, then there is no way in hell Jesus would come back and pick these guys as the best example of true Christianity.
