  FS Visit Today

  just received a fs visit - first for several months.

  an attractive 'yummy mummy' with (what seemed to me) a strained smile and a very young girl (presumably her daughter) about 9 or 10.. the weather was attrocious, i was distracted, and i failed completely to make any comment or to challenge.

  looking at the young girl, particularly, i felt nothing but sympathy.. i accepted a leaflet 'can the dead really live again?

  Seeing the attractive women in the KH is the only thing I miss, and probably the only thing that could get me physically back.

  What % of householders would have a clue about the "life saving " message JW`s have brought to their doors these past 100 years.

  i`m an optimist and i would say zilch .

  i would bet you a million dollars ( if i had a million dollars ) that if you did a survey in the street that you live , asking the householders what is the life saving message jehovahs witnesses bring to your door on a regular basis , they would not have a clue.. and they have been preaching this message for over 100 years .

  how inefective can they be .. the probable answers you would get are : they dont take blood transfusions.

  I have 2 suits I bought long after leaving the JW's. Rarely wear a suit nowadays. Wore one last winter to a dinner my young female coordinator was the speaker at.

  P.S....did not wear a tie.

  Do you google about someone before you date him or her?

  Wasting Time In The Ministry--How Did You Do It??

  i know of a couple of elders that regularly went out in the ministry throughout the week.

  no matter which street they were on, they always seemed to be near the same spot.

  someone here talked about the michael jackson moonwalk.

  so another wonderful tract campaign will take place in november.

  cities and towns will be inundated by a cheap bifold about the dead .. but the dubs are warned--if there is a "no trespassing sign" on a property enter at your own risk.

  not sure if this is the right forum, if not i apologize.. last night was our first halloween.

  i have to admit, the very idea that somehow it is satanic and that it makes bible god cry seemed immensely foolish as we prepared for it.

  my daughter was dressed as an undead witch and my son was dressed as thomas the tank engine.

  My advise.....shorten it, shorten it, shorten it. Two to three paragraphs at the most.

  You need to hit them fast before their mind closes.

  I have yet to hear any of the rumors, since I never had any contact with the JW's after I left. Not doubt there are some, as the JW's are the biggest rumor spreaders in the world. Probably would involve chasing women if I had to guess.
