i was just reading moxy's post "biggest mathematical miracle in the world" .

and as i was reading all the logical reasons why it would have been impossible at least physically impossible, for that many israelites not to mention even one, to wonder through the desert 40 years and not leave a trace of their even having been there.. the only thing that seems to be more incredible then that is how many people on earth believe it.

regardless of weather it's true or not what is it that continues to inspire millions and billions of people to continue to believe?

Realistically speaking, women say they want one thing and then they actually go after the exact opposite. This is why jerks get laid. Then (and this has happened to me so many times it's not even funny anymore) the chyq will come crying to the 'Nice Guy', but the moment the loser shows even the tiniest sign of repentance, the grrl is back into their old relationship head-over-heels, and then all hell breaks loose.

This is exactly why I am becoming a complete and utter frigging asshole. I now officially used to be a nice guy...

Women are actually usually far less shallow than men...thank goodness for that! They have my respect in that department, because most men wouldn't even consider asking a really obese woman out! But the opposite doesn't apply.

i have been doing the fade for about a year now from the jw religion.. today i atteneded the service of a non-denominational church and my dub ex-wife's boss was there and saw me.. so i fully expect that by tomorrow that the local gestapo elders will be aware of the fact that i was at another church.

what do you want to bet i will be getting a shepherding call next week, even though i have not seen these loving bothers in many months.

OK, I'm going to have to tackle this one point at a time:

People Believe It: This is because they have been well-programmed by Christianity. Christianity as a whole, as well as the lethal, but rare, mutated WTBTS meme which shares some of it's fear-axioms (cool! I just made up a new word!), both perpetrate as some of their chief symptoms irrational belief in complete nonsense. Mental filters and feedback loops are implanted in sufferers, which ensure that their questioning of their beliefs automatically selects them for death (mentally speaking - this is one of the primary fear-axioms). It's a killer cycle - kind of like a thread starve lock or something, just happening at a mental level in the human mind.

Can't Count Whales + Dolphins: Not going to go into that here, suffice to say that dolphins have very advanced minds indeed. For all we know, they may have a far more advanced civilisation than we do. Until we decipher their language, we'll never know.

The reason we have religion in the first place is because of our need to be led. Humans are pack animals - we always have to follow somebody, or something. Rooted deep in our oldest chromosomes, the one we've had for hundreds of millions of years, are the follow-the-leader chromosomes. Thanks to the combination of an extremely effective frontal lobe and this primitive region of the brain that controls our social behaviour, religion creates causal loops within the human consciousness which make us try to follow someone who will always be the Ultimate Alpha Male - God. There's no getting away from it.

The WTBTS meme is far too well entrenched in too many receptive host minds for it to ever die out, people. Stop wishing and do something positive.

Apostates are chemotherapy for the WTBTS mind-virus.

Just think about it this way - we are all that stands between a couple of million 'believers' and complete oblivion. As long as we're still around, getting people to question their 'beliefs', we can change things.

Unfortunately, the WTBTS policy of implicitly forcing very young people to marry just so that they can have normal human sexual experiences (and not get removed from their entire social framework for doing it) is causing many young Dubs to fall pregnant very quickly. Chances are, this is increasing the spread of the WTBTS through the sheer force of reproduction, no less. We all know that the most devout Dubs are those which are imprinted from birth with the teachings of the WTBTS. Probably about a million people are going to pull out their rocket launchers right about now and try to get me!

If any Elders are reading this, well, what the hell are you doing here? Get back to your flock, they need you, don't they? A shun a day keeps the doctors away!

It's utterly ridiculous, but then, the closer you get to Genesis, the more the Bible seems like it was written by the Brothers Grimm.

I can see that you are running off into OJ Land again. Once you start using infinitive axioms (is that the right phrase? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but you know what I'm trying to say) to support your logic, the logic just falls apart. God him/herself is an extremely convenient infinitive axiom in arguments for religious people, because every single question can usually be answered with a nice little: "Oh, God is almighty, therefore even this completely preposterous miracle in Genesis must have happened as it's laid down in the Book!"

How exactly did the Isrealites eat locust fecal matter (that AFAIK is what 'manna' is!) for 40 days? Wouldn't YOU get a bit pissed off if you had to do that for 40 days? Also, how were their dietary and protein needs addressed? Probably thanks to the Magic of God (for which there is absolutely no evidence).

i've been seeing this shy girl for about 6 months and we've fallen completely head over heels for each but the thing is she's a jw.

her father is bitterly opposed to our relationship and when i tried to ask his permission for his daughter's hand in marriage, he said no, not until i get a 14 incher.

If you're for real, find yourself another girl. Dub chyqz have caused many men on this board endless grief, so don't become another statistic.
