these last two weeks have been just plain awful for me... 2 weeks i hope to never have to go through.
firstly my mum disowns me, then i lose my baby and get an infection from the miscarriage.
i go back to work after having 10 days off to find out i have lost my job.
kelpi I am getting ready for church and dont have time but I will give you a much better reply when I get home.
I am sorry for your troubles however. I know this is of little comfort but when it rains it pours I will be back in a few hours

he abused her and ended up leaving her, the elders wouldn't help out much stating that it was a marital problem.. she couldn't cope with him leaving, she was extremely dependant on him, she felt the only way out was suicide.

I will also note it is a scientific fact that someone going through PTSD does undergo physialogical and chemical changes in the brain. Thus resulting in the most severe and prominent forms of depression. So there for it is a fact not an oppinion that external factors have an influence in depression and suicide. You need to read up on traumatic events and depression. It may keep you from making ingnorant postings in that regard in the future.

You know that in order to do a scientific study on suicide in the jw communtiy you would have to take in a number of factors.Do weinculde those that die from not accepting blood? I would think so. then would we ever get all of the information from the organization about active memebers I think not. Of course let us not forget the predomenant numbers of those who commit suicide due to having been molested and raped. Let us not forget those who have commited suiced by having been dis-fellowshipped having been shut off from all of those who once thought loved them including family members. It is simply do to the organizations failure to admit the truth in these matter that unfortunatly a scientific studywill be very hard,if not impossible to do. If a-holes like that want to come into this forum and make blind and ingnorant statements like he has. Then let us pray for god to give him a dose of his own organizations medicine.
The organization still has a way to reach out and hurt those who simply want to stay away. Lyin, Ladylee, Myself we need I know it is hard to take the high road and have forgiveness of those who tresspass against us but you know we are human and it is natural and valid for us to thing very badly about this guy. I know i do in my first posting here I was going to call him a number of things but i really feel sad and embarrased for him. What a fool.

well today was a very trying day in court.
megans parents have completely snowballed the guardian ad lietem.
he did state however that he had not had the opportunity to talk to all parties involved and that his descision to recomend megans parents could be changed by the testimony over the next couple of days.
I have just got home it has been a very long and trying day. We will not recieve a finding until July 4th and written arguments are to be given to the judge on the 24th of june with a final report from the G.A.L. on the 17th of june. I do need to say that prior to the hearing I heard that judge jackson will not allow religous testimony or references to religion in his court room. This was very troubling to me as this was a major point of contention in our case. You, I hope, will be happy to know that by my coming to this site and from some of your responses and your concern that I found a ruling from the appelant court in hamilton county Oh. Prater vs. Prater that ruled, testimony that directly effected the the impact on children due to the influence of religion is allowed. I copied the information and read through it carefully and found the ruling. I provided this to my Lawyers. They used this in the trial which allowed us to present our case.
Although we will not recieve a final ruling about my babies until July my attorney's told me the judge made a comment in his chambers before we left that he honestly feels that Megans parents would alway's find some sort of excuse not to abide by any court imposed visitation. That was the first indication I have had from the court that was even close to promising.
The issue of shunning was covered in great detail. This is one of the most severe forms of punishments that the organization passes to it's members and the impact that this practice has on it's members is devastating. This practice destroyed my Megan and has virtually destroyed me and I have never been a member. I will not let it destroy my children.
I know the war hasn't been won yet and I feel that I have been through a war at this point. I can't help but be encouraged by the comment made by the judge. I don't want my babies to go through the hell that many of you and Megan have. This seems like a battle that is being fought house by house family by family court room by court room. The cost measured in pain, lack of personal freedoms and the deaths of many people must be accounted for. It seems that in each individual case that this mountain is bigger than anyone of us can climb by themselves. It is with the help of this site where we can ALL come together with our indavidual thoughts and experiences and gain the strength to fight against the tyranny of an organization that holds so many hostage.
No matter how this turns out my babies and I are forever within your debt.

i know us men aren't the most clever people on earth but sometimes we say things that are meant to be a compliment and we get slammed.. my ex-wife was saying once, that she thought her hair was getting thicker and i, in my logical way was trying to figure out if this could really be true.
i then thought about the fact that she had recently lost wieght and without thinking any further i blurted out.... "your hair is not getting thicker your head is not as fat.".
this is a true story.

Thanks for the kick in the ass. I needed it escpecially befeore going into what I went through today. I have not had a good day today and I went to the trial with my chin up and ready to fight. I was told that I would be the first one testifying only to find out that I was to sit there the whole day listening to all of Megans JW half of her family lie through there teeth. The only consolation was they did not have all of thier stories straight and were contradicting one another. Tomorrow is another day and I will again go in there with my chin up.
I don't even want to think of what the alternative will be if the trail goes the wrong way tomorrow

You don't know how worried I am over the fact that the G. A. L. had made the recomendation he did it's like what the hell are you thinking. I was also told the judge usually goes with his recomendation. Just knowing What you have told me gives me room for hope
