Dishonourable to NOT attack terrorism - NYFD

my opinion on america's war on terrorism is changing these past few days or so, so much so, that now i would see it as negating our responsibilities if we did not act against terrorism at it's root.

considering the 9/11 attacks just for now.

here we have, within a very small comparatively speaking, airliner, - with completely opposing polarities of thought dimension on board, (love and hate).

Too bad that you forget the terroized little girl running naked from the napalm dropped from a US plane. Too bad that American propaganda overules our senses so that we believe whatever is put before us. The Bushes claimed that Iraq was on the border of Saudi Arabia and that babies had been pulled out of incubators in Kuwait by the Iraqies- Both have since been proven as lies. Those lies were thrown at the American public to rally support for the attack.

Now another Bush- abusing 9-11 rallies support to attack Iraq again. Exagerations and possible outright lies- It is so hard to except that the villins in the 9-11 attacks killed themselves in the attack- "We will get Bin Ladin!" Was Bushes original battle cry- Still not confirmed whether we "got" him or not- And with over 7,000 US troops still fighting an unfinished battle against rebels in Afgananstan- Bush wants to attack another country- Hey dudes we have not finished what we started in Afganastan yet!!

So let's predict the future here- Now we send troops to Iraq- We send Sadam underground just like we did Bin Laden- Just like Bin Ladin Sadam has vigerous supporters over there. So then we will have 7,000 forgotten troops fighting in Afganastan and another 7,0000 fighting and forgotten in Iraq- Then where will Bush go next? And does this action stop terrorism? Does stomping out Sadam slow terrorism? Will it make a difference? Does this action avenge the deaths of Americans on 9-11?

Hubby has Cancer.........

and my heart is breaking!..we just had it confirmed today.

he has 9 months to live so they say.

among all the heartbreak and pain he is crying and begging me to go to the kingdom hall with him.

Golden Girl I am so sorry to hear of this. A few years ago my sister was diagnosed with inflamatory carcinoma (sp?) At any rate I located the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. They have locations in various cities in the US. They offer a holistic approach which includes traditional medicine. Though we eventually lost Joanna I am sure that their approach added time and quality to her life. They were wonderful to her and my mother and I.

Outside of that she did a total body cleansing and drastically changed her diet. She was able to enjoy a wonderful stay at the Opryland Hotel with mom for a few days and when she did leave us she died in her sleep.

Tell your husband that he must fight! As you may know a couple of months ago the doctors had me burying my son who had bacterial menegitis. In a coma he was taken off of life support. Though he lost both of his feet he is back with us and the same big brat he always was.

My thoughts and prayers are with you...

today, the prime minister faces the tuc conference, the main agenda covering the impending war on iraq.

british public opinion is very much for the action to not take place against iraq.

Amen sandigger! I will not go to the satan/ god thing but I do agree that Sadam and Terrorism have replaced our anit-communism war. I speak daily with many people in my community. My customer base runs from small biz owner to multi million dollar guys. Asians and people of all backgrounds- most common thought from these guys- Bush is a "war" president and is inept at dealing with domestic issues. 9-11 was a god-send to this man. He has to keep it going to have even a sliver of hope to get a second term in the white house. If he had of been smart he would have let Gore have it in 2000 and ran in 2004- I believe that- thank god- he will be a one term prez like his war dad.....

Having the capabilities in and of itself alone does not define "REAL THREAT". There are many countries who have the capabilities. Since the fall of the Soviet Union it is still unknown what quantities of nuclear materials and other instruments that can be used to design weapons of mass destruction fell into the hands of dangerous people.

The question I raise again is: "Is Iraq a threat to the USA?" That is a lot different question than "Does Iraq have the capabilities?"

Handguns are sold daily in this country to people who have the capability of murder and crime. Our desicion to allow these people to have these weapons is based strictly on history- as I stated before IF the USA had valid proof that Iraq has in the past been involved in activities against the USA or had valid proof that Iraq was conspiring to engage in such activities Bush would not have to work so hard to sell his plan to the citizens of this country and our allies.

As I sit in the USA I am skeptical of Bushes desire to attack. The question I have is: "Is there a REAL threat to us?" Of course I am not privy to all that is known. But I would have to speculate that since Bush has to work so hard to sell his attack package to, not only the Americans, but also to most of our allies that there is no known real threat. We have replaced Castro with Sadam and Communism with terrorism. A lesson from history may be needed in my opinion.

I have been blessed in my ability to earn money in my life... unfortunately that blessing has equally been a curse in relationships-

I have learned that richness and wealth are a state of mind. Recently my best friend has had to face his on mortality. Laying at Vanderbilt hospital with failing kidneys (he has survived) he looked at me and shared how all of a sudden all his money and material possesions were totally meaningless. This from a man who has spent his entire life accumilating money and things. Since that expereince he has become a lot better friend. At 56 he finally settled down and married a wonderful woman- who parks her old beat up car next to his Rolls and new Caddie. She is totally oposite of what my friend had been about in his life.

My lesson about richness and happiness- it is the small things that we do that mean the most. Now the simple phone call from my friend is a wonderful blessing to me. Nothing his money could buy could make me happier than knowing that he is alive and a better person in spite of his wealth.

I have seen some people reach and and touch lives in profound ways with very kind, loving words on this forum. Some so caring that tears would form in the eyes of this old grey haired man. Money or no money that is what I want to learn to de better-

My son recently lost both feet to bacterial menegitis. One of the first things he noted to me when he left the hospital was how people staired at him. The "labels" were to him not the issue. Handicaped or disabled did not bother him. It was the way people looked at him.

Kudos to Tony Blair, UK PM

... not because he supports action regarding iraq, for that is a debatable issue.

rather, it is because tony blair has proven to be a stand-up statesman who has been able to work well with two very different us administrations, clinton then bush ... while keeping his own moral clarity and vision.

if tony blair represents the majority of british sentiments, then the usa can thank its lucky stars as having such a close friend and ally ... and americans need to better appreciate our british brethern.
