  Hi again Hilda,
  What would you think if the figure is accurate? I suppose the only way to know for sure would be to check the files at the WT. I dont see them being forthcoming with that information. Perhaps at some point, they will be compelled by the courts to be forthcoming with that information.
  Besides, the exact number is not important. The issue is,

  DOES THE WATCHTOWER HAVE POLICIES IN PLACE THAT PROTECT PEDOPHILES?

  Why do you take a not confirming or denying stance of affiliation? If you ARE, why wouldnt you admit it? Is it something to be ashamed of? If you arent , why wouldnt you admit that? Silence speaks louder than words. I will assume you are indeed a JW until you say otherwise. saying that you would give Bill more credit if he werent a disgruntled JW also gives you away. Why is that? Would you give less credit to someone who spoke out about the Catholic pedo-priests and was "disgruntled" with that church than someone who continued in the Catholic faith? besides, seems the policies are what made him "disgruntled" in the first place. He is an insider, was an elder, knows what goes on at those meetings. He took a big risk throwing himself out there. Why shouldnt I believe him?
  What possible motive would cause him to "invent" this?
  I agree that people should not invent stories to make an org. (or an individual for that matter) look bad. What stories have been "invented"?

  Hilda-
  I am glad you didnt mean that comment you made. Could you explain to me EXACTLY how Bill Bowen is "generalizing"? When did he say all JWs are molesters or protectors? When I see what he is doing ,it seems to me he is trying to protect more kids from being abused. The problem is not simply that there are molesters in the JW's. It is true you can find those sick individuals in about any organization. The larger issue here is the policies of the WT that enable pedo's to keep on with thier sick and harmful behavior.
  Hopefully, the attention put on this issue will cause them to change their policies, seems that may already be happening.

  I am really trying to understand your point of view here. I have read some of your other posts and you are not a JW, right? so i dont know why on Earth you would defend the WT. I am not and have never been a "dub" but I think most people, no matter what (ifany)religion, would think children should be protected from predators.

  Hilda: Hello. I was wondering......if you believe the scripture you just quoted why do you generalize and stereotype in your other post and say that "white people are biggots"? That remark came off sounding very racist to me. Do you judge people simply because thier skin is white?
  bigot: one whose attitude or behavior expresses INTOLERANCE as because of RACE, religion, politics, etc.

  oh boy, tdogg, good luck with that...hopefully your wife will carefully research the religion and not jump in with both barrels..... The Mormons were on my street yesterday afternoon chatting with the lady across the street. Funny, they didnt stop here.....they stopped trying with me :)
  I think some of their beliefs are downright blasphemous but I just gotta love 'em anyway.... look at the Osmonds what a nice family :) And those fellows who came over here before, trying to convert me, what a polite couple of young men! They had the "meek and mild" thing down pat.
