elders are supposed to maintain confidentiality.
if they don't, they can be deleted as elders.
still, one of the biggest complaints that i can recall from some in the congregation, was that elder so-and-so told his wife or another ms that someone had a problem or had to be counseled.....did it ever happen to you?
How embarrasing, its bad enough to have to tell every single detail in front of two or three men. But then to have it dragged out yet again in a "special needs talk" it's insane!!
"special needs talk"= lets tell the whole congregation what you did but not use any names even though everyone is going to put two and two together and figure out it was you then gossip about you-

today, an elder stopped by my work just to say hello and invite me to the memorial!
he asked me if the presiding overseer had called me yet because he and another elder were going to give me a call at home to set up a visit.
he said they (the elders) decided this on their elder's meeting last night.......so what do you think is going to happen when i tell them i'm not going to allow them to make a "shepherding" call???
