this thread is dedicated to all of the horny stud's out there who think with their penis: "big breasts, nice ass, i wanna mound her, blah, blah, blah...." i suppose then this would include ever man in the entire world, as horny as they are, just thinking about one thing and one thing only, sex...not that sex is a bad thing, sex is very nice, except maybe if you're a single jw, then your hand is your personal best friend.

but even so, they still think of sex, they just won't admit to it, or have lost the key to their chastity belt.

when a man see's a nice looking woman, what's the first thing they think about: "wow, wonder what she looks like naked", not "i bet she has a wonderful personality.

No!

We also think about food, water(beer), and a place to sleep.

Nice guys left in the cold

i started wondering about the "nice" guys (such as myself).... it's been my experience that women tend not to go for the "nice" guy who has a lot to offer - big heart, kind, good income, etc.

they seem far more likely to go for the aggressive "jerk" or "rebel" who treats them like dirt.. why is that?.

Gilwarrior: Take a lesson from Abaddon. Become a "nice" bastard. Here's an idea. Dont treat women like a piece of meat on a hook. Especially the "pretty" ones. Instead treat them like people.

Where's the insight?

Just this: If your male best friend gave you attitude, or said something you disagreed with, or did something contrary to your opinion on it, you'd let him know. Wouldnt you? But as men who want sex, especially sex with "hot" women, nice guys tend to stifle their true personalities and opinions so as not to offend women, mistankenly thinking we have a better chance in the bedroom, if we appear kind, nice, caring, blah, blah. Wrong!

What would you think of a co-worker who you knew had opinions, but never expressed them unless called upon? Or when they were called upon you then knew whatever idea they had could basically be intimated to agreeing with with the boss' idea?

Passive? Vanilla? A "good" worker? A "nice" guy?

Or even worse: Same worker has a great idea. But is too afraid to present it. Roll the dice and take your shot.

Women are strange creatures. Dont even try to figure them out. Consider their ways, but respect first your own.

Is this world ruled by Demons and are we?

to me, one of the most pathetic and lamest of all watchtower teachings is the fantasy that satan and the demons rule the world.

the witnesses are terrified of these demons getting into their minds through everything from wearing old clothes bought at the thrift store to smoking cigarettes (remember all drugs give demons easy access to your mind.).

they would have you believe that each country on earth is controlled by really big mean and tough demons (hey demons cant be nice you know) and they are actively controlling the minds of the political leaders in a global chess game because they have nothing better to do.. i was wondering then if anyone can show me a single itsy bitsy tiny amount of evidence to show any credible physical evidence or logical/metaphysical reasoning to back the jw ideological boogey men.

Do you believe in God/Bible? If so, then probably you are more willing to accept the events it says took place. If not, well...

There are not many examples in the bible of "demon power" but one I was always fascinated by was when Moses first went to Pharaoh. Moses made his petition then to show he had Gods backing threw his staff down and it became a snake. What did Pharaoh do? He was unimpressed. Why? Because his priests did the same thing! How?

What did those priests know that we dont? Would it be credible to argue that IF that story was true then there are still some "priests" today that could do similar?

Signs and portents/miracles are one of the more dicey things in the Bible. Not just on the 'evil' end. I often wonder about Jesus. Say he came to the earth today. Lets say you saw him cure someone of paralysis. Or more incredibly raised someone from the dead? In person. What would you do? Would you believe it? Would you think this man had "power" and become his follower? It seems almost incomprehensible. I think he'd be dead in a week. Such events are unsettling to the human mind.

And now with CNN, the Internet, camcorders and every kook, charlatan, and would be Svengali following him around would that add to his credibility or detract from it? It would be a circus.

As far as demons go. If I recall correctly it was in Daniel that he saw 10,000 X 10,000 angels before the throne (100 million). Revelation mentions that Satan took 1/3 with him. So if you accept the literal reading some where around 30+ million at least.

Now as to whether demons influence nations/people, again if you believe they exist why not? I would guess that not all angels who rebelled at the flood took on bodies to have sex. But those that did and then could not ever materlize bodies again would be seeking to exert sexual influence on people. How they would do that I dont know.

Anyone who says it's not possible is kidding themselves. Look at how effective advertising is. "Have a nice day" "Fly the Friendly Skies" "Got milk?" The money spent for Super Bowl commercials. Why?
It subtle, insidious, and result oriented. How much more so spirit "advertising"?

worthless fiat money, unsteady job market (if you have a job), even dimmer job prospects, no health insurance, no retirement, no chance of owning a home, no credit worthiness, a 1975 Ford Pinto, bus, or bicycle as your means of transportation, thrift shop clothes, eating food you grow, teaching your children at home with no opportunity for college/professional training, no free time to socialize, go to the gym, find a wife, pursue other interests due to just trying to survive in a cruel world that doesn't give a 2 bit damn about you...

What do you know? Sounds just like JW lives already! They should be well prepared.

Ridiculous nonsense. And these are the men of old? Reinforcers of our faith? More like examples of the same old, same old. And all their respective currencies and financial systems are long gone. Gold is still gold though. Better buy some.

Wanted: A few good men

Some places to try-

1)Community college: Acting class, journalism class, art class. Some guys there that should not have too much of a problem expressing themselves.

2)A not so trendy gym.

3) Music store. A place that teaches lessons so you have to physically go there. Guitar is sexy.

4) Toastmasters or similar. Professional men. Some con men too!

5) Your town/city should have its own newspaper. You'd be suprised at the number of local clubs/events/gatherings. Choose one that piques your interest.

6) Volunteer for something. Schools/Colleges, hospitals, charity, saving mother earth etc.

7) Do you like fish? Do you fish? Do you know how to fish? Spend a day on a charter boat. I guarantee you'll meet lots of men. All ages, all backgrounds.

8) Smile, say hi or excuse me and ask a question. Simple way to engage anyone in a conversation. If they have any interest to that is.

Ive never understood this about women. They see a guy they may want to get to know better and then get passive? Hoping they start up a conversation? You dont want to appear what: sexually forward? desperate? pushy? I have been asked out three times by women. Interestingly enough they were all older than me though only by a couple years save the one I turned down. Two I said yes to. Perhaps, as you mature you get tired of waiting on chance? Men, I dont want to say are used to it, but we get shot down all the time. The decent guys you're looking for after awhile may get gun shy. I remember Brooke Shields once said that every guy she dated (not got asked out by) she had to make it "totally obvious I liked them" The braggarts, brigands, and brash jerks, makes no difference. They keep on trusting in the numbers game.

Some Thoughts On Human Behaviour

when you leave behind the watchtower, and start thinking for yourself, you necessarily have to ditch their view of human society.

over the past year, i've given quite a lot of thought to other explanations for human behaviour, and the way human society is the way it is, with it's enormous contrasts and inconsistencies.

one of the viewpoints i've considered is that of thomas hobbes, and so far (in my opinion) it is the simplest model that fits observed conditions.
