  Who Do JW's Think Is More Powerful----Jehovah or Satan the Devil?

  i think that witnesses think that satan is actually more the one we have to reckon with.

  if we believe jehovah god is so powerful, why worry so much about satan and his demons.

  the angels of god are supposed to be much stronger and powerful than any demon, so why are jw's consumed with the demons??

  Do elders only beat up on women?

  i find it interesting that of all the horror stories i have read on this forum, it seems that women are the subject of the elders' abuse much more than men.

  is it because the elders feel more comfortable beating up, excuse me, "counseling" women, or is it because we women are more open with our feelings?

  personally, i was mainly the object of neglect.

  BTW, I did see that show - it was on the Discovery Channel, not A and E.... the larvae got into her circulatory system and lodged in her brain, where it died....

  Those poor kids... how dare adults rape children. How dare they show kids this supposed "fun"... it is each kids job to find out for themselves at THEIR wanting what sex is, and how far to go... when they are old enough, they can do it... not have some ugly sweaty greasy stinky man show them... and rape them.... it is just sickening.

  To all those on this board who have kids, please teach them that their sex organs are for themselves - nobody else. Get them to repeat it... tell them, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, NOBODY has the right to touch them unless they are hurt, or a doctor needs to examine them...

  The only time that I ever need to "touch" private parts is my 3 year old nephew, and, I don't directly touch them - I use a washcloth..... and he is learning how to wash himself now, down there... that is a good idea to get them to do, too, as soon as possible.

  It just makes me sick, and I honestly pray for those poor kids... the damage done is horrific. Pulling out 3 teeth is pretty brutal. Some mutilate their genitals.... cut themselves with knives... it just goes on....

  If I can say just one thing to them, it's that it's not their fault...

  I, too, did the same thing - stopped going to meetings for a long period of time, and nobody called, NOBODY. Isn't it sad? They speak of such love... yet it's not present. Jesus disciples have love amongst themselves..... don't forget that, and don't forget that your story is not an isolated case...

  Elders do sometimes beat up on their wives - NOT ALL, but some do... and what can the wife do? Nothing. Go to the body of elders? It gets swept under the carpet... A friend of mine was being beaten up by his step-father... he went to the elders and they did nothing.

  one of the great things that this board offers is the ability to express yourself.

  sometimes, things we couldn't tell a person to their face, we can express here.

  or we might be able to give of ourselves, our experiences, our joys and frustrations......you name it!.......regarding my vent, it is that i can't understand why some post on these boards and yet are very pro witness.
