I saw a wolf once running across a road up in Jasper.... IT WAS HUGE! Black as night, and running... it was as big as a bear! Very cool animals, and very cool that you worked with them!

Due to a major change in careers - one leading nowhere to one leading somewhere, hopefully, I had to move, which sucked big time. The cold was a bit much for me, too....
I would say move to Jasper, or Tahiti, only if I could get out of those places 2 months of the year...

I read a quote one time.... arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still ************ed. (sorry, that word is a bit of an issue with me, as I look after persons with developmental disabilities)
Figure out what is the point of arguing? Is it really worth it? Why even respond to insults, or to what we consider insulting behavior? Like you all said, just don't take yourself too seriously, and laugh about things
i imagine most of you have heard or seen the footage of the hazing in which girls were beaten at a high school.. the ones guilty of this crime have been formally charged as adults.
after reading reports and viewing the video, i believe the authorities rightfully charged them.
i don't think there has been much debate on whether or not those kids are guilty.. the question i have heard out there is whether or not the authorities should charge the parents because their kids were involved?.
Parents should be held responsible IF AND ONLY IF their teens have been a complete menace to society and they have taken NO ACTIVE STEPS to correct their behavior. Just out of the blue? No way should parents be charged. Have a rap sheet a mile long? Then, yes.
obviously the answer for many of you is, an overwhelming yes.
the reason i am posting this is, for some or perhaps many, they only post or im(instant message/e-mail) other members, but have not spoken to them via the phone.
i'm aware that for some, calling long distance is a financial concern, thus the e-mail thing/im works fine and serves its purpose.

I am still pretty new here, and it will probably happen one day. Living in Canada, we can be quite far apart sometimes, and is hard to meet even in RL.

since i am responsible for financial services at a very large salvation army in nys, i received a grant that helps the needy in rural areas in nys.
i was looking through our large data base for names of people in certain zip codes.

It is sad, really, the state that people live in. It is even sadder when a religion claims in the name of God to look after his people. Obviously, they do not. I know from first hand experience that they do not. The fatherless boy is not cared for, nor the widow. Indeed, they have hijacked the name of god, which is absolutley disgusting.

I say let them live as they like. Not everyone - nay - mostly nobody wants out of the religion, and telling them the truth is only confirming their worst thoughts... that apostates want them out of the org. The truth is out there... (sounds familiar) and they can find it. I personally don't bother with those people whatsoever. Their religion is filling their void right now, and probably won't change. They need to make the decision to change, not me.
Just a personal opinion is all.
Interesting to see how they still talk, though! Thanks for posting that. It reminded me of mind control again, and was a bit freaky!
