Interesting line of reasoning. If such a situation were to develop, you could justify any "immoral" action against a person.
But weren't you still forced to do something immoral? Even though that something was less immoral than the destruction of an entire planet?

Ok, I'll bite. Please define rape so that it retains its intended meaning yet by the same definition cannot be considered always wrong. I don't think I can do it....

Personally I don't believe in the prophecies. My opinion is that they were either written after the fact or so vague as to be easily fulfilled.
there are many different interpretations and views of what really happened, or didnt, when the u.s. navy embarked on a project to de-magnetize warships beginning in 1943. what has become known as the philadelphia experiment is not a subject to be taken lightly.
no matter what you believe about it or dont, its a fact that several people have died or been killed as a direct result of claiming involvement with the experiment.

Aztec, I know we've discussed this a bit before... but I still cannot think of a reasonable defintion of rape that would make it not morally wrong. Rape is unwanted, forced sex. How is that ever right? What is the purpose of trying to come up with some weird definition of rape that makes it not 100% wrong?
I do agree though that there are very, very few moral absolutes. As we discussed before, murder isn't one. But I think sexual abuse of a child is always morally wrong too.

all of us feel and handle situations with family differently, yet we are so much the same.. the day may come when family comes to you and says those dreaded words ........... " i can no longer have any association with you, not even on the telephone.".
It is futile to live in regret of our Watchtower experiences.
Agreed. As much as I detest the organization now, it helped make me who I am today.
I'm glad that I won't have to subject my future children to that rubbish, though.

I'm caring less and less about the org.... At first I was really worried about what JWs thought of me, about the lies that undoubtedly are going around about me, and was hoping the organization would just DIE. But as time goes on I just don't care about those things any more. And it's only been 9 months!
Still, I am trying not to be DF'd or DA'd... I'm enjoying having a half-way decent relationship with my JW family.
