I did doughnuts in an elders yard for df-ing a friend. I used to make out with my girlfriend in the KH library during the meeting. I was a rotten JW... By the way Viv, way too cute avatar...

What's the most hypocritical thing(s) you've ever seen a JW do?
by Steve Lowry inup high on my list has to be when a jw co-worker named john fitzgerald tore into me one morning (when i was coming in late for work) for grabbing a quick piece of cake from the lunch room.
turns out, someone in this small little office had brought in the remainder of their birthday cake for folks at work to finish up eating.
john was older than i and a ministerial servant (ooh) and felt it his responsibility to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I caught two newly appointed MS's smoking cigars down here in coconut grove. They couldn't even stand up straight they were so wasted.
I worked for an elder for a while in the construction business. I was only 17 years old and we would get wasted after work. He later on counseled me for drinking with a 20 year old brother at my house.

for me, it was an elder telling me i was progressing really well when my meeting attendance was down and my field service hours were slipping.

An elder to his son - "Skateboarding is dangerous. It shows you don't present yourself a sacrafice to jehovah" That was also his excuse for not letting his son play any sports.
My dad told me that 1986 the International Year of Peace was going to start the great Trib.

Have The Elders Ever Told You They Needed To Speak 2 You After The Meeting?

the entire meeting you tried not to think about whatever it was they needed to talk to you about.

All the time!!! The best one was about 4 meetings before my last one. They asked to see me after the meeting to clear up some rumors going around about me. I told them that was fine. So halfway during the meeting I left to goto the bar to watch a thursday night football game. The one elder had my cellphone # and called me and asked me where I was. I told him I got rather ill and was in bed sick. The best part was I know he could here all the background noise of the bar. They never followed up, cause I guess they knew I didn't care.

How many of you had the jw double life?
by obiwan ini was the prime example, if you looked in the dictionary under double life, my face would be right next to it!
i would party on saturday night, and drag my butt to the sunday meeting hungover.
does anyone here know how hard it is to answer a question during the wt study hungover?

My double life started with underage drinking which by 16 worked its way into smoking. We had a group of 20 to 30 witness kids in the south florida area that would pretty much let anything slide. I never was into drugs but I saw many dub kids on x, smoking pot, snorting coke etc... . Sex was rampant amongst the dubbers down here too. I knew a bro. that did a insurance job on his car. I knew of a couple of brothers that would steal Ford Mustangs for parts on their Mustangs. At one of my last DC's I went to my friends hotel room where they just had some sort of orgie going on. I got into my share of stuff too. Mainly "fornication" was my favorite. Being raised in a org. that I hated just made me want to be as bad as possible, and of coarse try and get away with it. Believe it or not I was never DF'd.
