what does this mean in terms of harrassing inactive memebers to come to meetings?
Co come twice a year. There is no "season". They simply rotate every week to another congregation. They take off vacation week here or there. Also take off for circuit assembly and district / regional conventions.
After they finish rotation (about 6 months), they start over.
has anyone ever called bethel and asked why they dont have the revelation book online anymore?.

there was a thread that talked about the push to call on inactive ones.. thanks to the heads up here, i knew the motive for the call.. i don't think i even know that eld.
I would make it clear that it is inapproprite to call you for personal business at work. Nip #1 in the bud ASAP.
Next, if they make an unscheduled visit, politely but firmly tell them that now is a bad time. You can be polite and firm at the same time. In the sheperding book (elders manual) they are told to make appointments, not just drop in. You can direct thier memories to that by saying "im sorry, i didnt know you were coming. now is a really bad time". They may try to set up another appointment then. A simple "im sorry, i just dont feel like talking right now" and slowly shut the door.
Thier instructions are "to make contact with inactive ones". They will have filled that instruction and move on.
I say this as a MS that goes on these calls.

Hebrews 9:27 context is not saying everyone has to die. The context is showing why the Christ only had to die once for ransom. Its use was illustrative.
1 Coe 15:53.54. Again context. This was written to anointed ones showing their new gift of immortal life. Not stating all must die.
Isa 28:18 This verse is reffering to what the bad rulers in Jerusalem were saying. See vs 15. This scripicture is not commenting on wether we all must diE or not, but is condemning the rulers arrogant claims.

I was watching a week ago when we voted on our monthy donation. It was an odd time to vote, half our hall was on vacation. The COBE and the secretary were also gone. Not sure how we can vote with less than half there and missing a majority of he board of directors.
Anyways, I saw 5 people not raise their hands for the affirmative. I was the sixth. But it was never asked if any were opposed. I was curious what would happen then.

i think she is a hypocrite and i bet she sells her invites to fornicators, or does she ask them if they are having sex before marrige, before she takes their money?.
i was never like this when i was a jw, it's even more disturbing that she is going to ask her elders what to do.
She could have handled this better and still kept her "conscience clear".
1. She is a printer, acting in a professional capacity. She was not asked to attend as part of her job. She could have justified making them.
2. She could have discreatly turned down the job. "I'm sorry I would love to make them, but I am a small shop and already have too many projects. I just don't think I can finish yours in time. Can I reccomend so and so?"
3. Most print shops have connections with other print shops to outsource projects they just can't do themselves. She could have quietly taken the order and outsourced it so she was not the one "making" them.
4. She could hire a "worldly" employee. Pass off all the questionable projects to him/her.
She had many options other than being offensive.

I can kinda see the need for this. In my hall the school overseer is super old, in a motorized scooter. Some evenings he is painfully slow finding his place in his notes for the next student. He looks exhausted up there. BUT, he's adorable. Nicest, humblest man I've met. He won't quit because he's "faithful to jah". The rest of the elders love him too much to ask him to quit. No one wants to hurt his feelings. Honest truth is that him and his wife would probably be so relieved if he was replaced.
I know he is school overseer and not COBE, so this letter does not apply to him yet. However, I can see this extension happening soon down the road. Probably trying to ease the elders into the change.
Cobe makes sense as first up. He is the one person who has to be informed of all things happening in the hall. ALL elders meetings, judicial hearings ect are reported to him. He keeps the history of the cong in his head.
I see secretary being next for change.

2nd meeting is just book study now called bible study followed by an hour talk from the CO
tried to get into jw.net twice but a popup informed me that the official website of jw's is jw.org.
this was about 2 hours back.

Jw.org is not overiding jw.net. Jw.net site simply does not exist right now. Since it does not exist, your web browser cant find it. Since your browser cant find it, your broswer defaults to search results of similar words instead. Jw.org just happens to be the closest similar word.
jw.net may be down for several reasons. The owner may not be paying for the site any more. Or the owner may be in the process of moving the site to another computer.

it looks like political information, you have to almost search for the one scripture cited.
Its not really a "tract". The the convention invitation that will be passed out about a month before the convention.
