Holly, Jehovah is spelled with an "H", you know.
And all these years I thought it was spelt "Jehover". Could that be why I never was made a MS?
You remind me of the smelly turds you unfortuneately catch a whiff of in the kingdumb hall restrooms. You know, the ones that YOU masturbate in during the watchtower study. You know, I wish I thought of masturbating during watchtower studies. That, at least, would not have been such a waste of time. Walter
does anyone know where is is documented that thiele made the following quotes?
as bible scholar e. r. thiele said about a watchtower article on chronology, "it reminds me of the way an unscrupulous lawyer would deal with facts in order to support a case he knows not to be sound.

Ask youself why they don't even bother to show you the engineering department and the engineering library.
Considering all the international construction projects, an engineering library would not be unreasonable, but you don't see one there. The only place I've ever seen a legal library larger than the one in Bethel is the library where I work - the Ontario Legislature.

yearbook of jehovah's witnesses 1970 p.9.
watch tower bible & tract society of pennsylvania 1969 need for mental cleansing.
it is evident, therefore, that there must be a cleaning out of the mind if there is to be an implanting of right thinking.
Looks like they're trying to extol the virtues of brainwashing.

i should have started an new thread ... didn't realize so many would jump in on holly's post.
i may have used too strong of words in saying 'hate filled' by why do you all call someone who disagrees with you a 'troll'.
i disagree with lots of people without resorting to name calling.
I rarely call people trolls, although I have been known to call people poopyheads once in a while.

...if that ain't cult literature, i don't know what is!!
!
Just read this on page 168:This detail in the prophecy thus indicates the shame that the two witnesses had to endure. Those mentioned above who were imprisoned were even denied bail while their cases were on appeal.OH WHAT SHAME!!! LOL!!!!
Hmmmm, was that one of the trumpet blasts? Walter

There is no room for error or question,
No, but there's plenty of room for new light!

just a quick question.. does anyone know what the wts had to say about judas' presence at the last supper, before 1935?.
(documentary proof would be nice, too).
this is one of the arguments that the wts uses to support only 144,000 partakers of the "lord's evening meal".. i'm of the belief that he was at the supper, had his feet washed and enjoyed the meal, but was sent away before the "new covenant" was established (so he missed the specific partaking of the bread and wine).

Would it make any difference whether he partook or not? I'm sure many 1st century christians partook and later turned away from christianity. Why should he be any different?

Well I for one found Holly's final post to to be very condescending. Even though she signed it "With Kindest Regards" the rest of the post read differently. This is just another one of those "hit and run" final posts where the person posting fires some parting shots and then doesn't even stay around to defend their snide comments.
I have to wonder about someone who supposedly "researched all angles" and still, knowingly, with eyes wide open, joins an abusive cult. But then, judging by the final post, she'll probably fit right in. I'm sure she'll have no difficulty looking down on victims of child sexual abuse. Maybe she'll tell them they "have found the true meaning of love and forgiveness, and hold the keys to the kingdom."
