Adamah--i also have found it worrysome that some change certain things in genesis to support or attempt to support new things we discover...dinosaurs is still a huge dent in the amount of time we and the earth has been around. for me i have a big issue with the lineage of Jesus and how many generations (not the WT generation) of hmans date back to adam when sciene and archeologic discovery shows different. But then again i am also aware in certain flaws of carbon dating, but dont know near enough yet to make a solid base for either argument. Does that make sense? Im at work so im kinda pressed for time.

Now now kate lets not make hasty decisions just because i stepped away...you forget i am currently still trying to exit my wife from the org, and myself really, and im the only one who works to support her and my two kids. However there is a lot to read from these last few pages of posts, much of which is a lot to take in. Im not as quick as some! ;-)

Adamah--didnt Jesus ask his father to forgive all the ones who tortured him? "Forgive them for they know not what they do?" Thats not healing but they showed lack of faith and he still asked for forgiveness for them. Yet you see he told the criminal that showd faith that hed be with him in paradise, and said nothing to the one who didnt show faith....is that not a contradiction? Sry just a random thought i had when inread your post.
And llease enough about tec....i cant prove or disprove that she is or isnt chattin with Christ so ill stick to the post she gives, research it and if i dont find much truth in the words ill discard and move on. :-) whre were we?!?! Lol

Who kills more trees? Wt vs. power company?
by DS211 ini have to share an interesting experience with my wife this morning (not a bedroom story...sinners ;-)).. we were driving to work and my wife asked why they havent changed the wooden power poles to concrete.. me: well i think they change them as they start to give out.. wife: but they kill so many trees doing this!!!!
why wouldnt they figure that out?.
(what i wanted to say)me: how many trees do the watchtower kill printing magazines and bibles????.

Why I am upset with myself for my atheistic beliefs
by confusedandalone inyesterday me and the wife were talking about how much better life has become.
she said something that got me thinking and made me a bit sad for a while.
we were discussing where we are at individually in our quest for understanding about the "super-natural" and i expressed i have no belief in it at all and how much i have changed she says, "i don't think you have changed much.

Confused---i am actually the same as you were. I FEEL like a hypocrite. I hate service i NEVER do regukar family study, i hate giving talks and reading, never study for the watchtower not the thursday meeting either...aaaand now i have t been to 3 meetings in a row. I am questioning verything although i do still hang on to the idea that God or something outside our planet that was exaggerated to a god status isreal...but i am very similar...only difference is im not sure if you have kkids but i have two daughters, im 27, and thats pretty much it haha
we all have a journey in life and come the end of our life we will all know if we were wrong or right...what im finding important no matter what you believe is to make the best of your life and savor every Second.

Did you guys/girls read that article about preserving the human mind into a robot? I saw it on yahoo...interesting. That could be an x-man.
i started reading an evolution book last night....it may have been the two beers i drank but it was incredibly boring to me :-(...but ill try again today. I think this may be why many believers dont desire to learn the truth about evolution...it bores them...like the OT.

by EndofMysteries ini could get real deep into this topic because every phase of the creation days go much further than how they appear when read in a literal sense.
i am only going to stick to the question and explanation in the title of the thread.
many say the bible and creation days make no sense at all, how is day and night, and morning/evening, all done before the sun and moon which we use for day and night and morning and evening created?

Oz brad---prior to the flood they probably would have need for it...eating just plants friits and nuts from the beginning wouldve probably meant those bad bacteria werent there. And yet it increases exponentially when one eats meat or chicken, fish,etc...lol but thats my speculation, as i didnt shake an unwashed noahs hand after wiping ;-)
