  what if the majority religion (i'm not sure i consider the jehovah witnesses a religion) in the world today were the jehovah witnesses?

  instead of the catholics let's say (i think the catholics have around a billion or so).

  imagine jw numbers at around one billion or two, or about 1/5 of the world population (boy, this is a sacry thought).

  Prozzak would have been invented 1000 years ago.

  ....but would only be available to witnesses on the black market. The education thing would not be an issue anymore because the excuses of not associating with worldly people would be gone, and the pressure to go on field service would be less too because there would be less people to preach to. Pioneering would be discouraged because that would take all the ministry up for yourself and not let others have a share. And kingdom halls would remain the size they are now because any larger would prove too difficult to control.

  never mind the hidden cam, let's just pretend for the sake of the arguement, if you were there when this came down and you saw it in person, how would you perceive all this?

  The fault lies with the security people. Fair enough the kids shouldn't have been there, but that doesn't give him the right to assault them, which is what he did. The security person should have followed the proper company procedures, either following proper use of force techniques (Which he didn't), or not responded to the taunts and called the police to evict the kids. If the security company expected the guard to evict the kids without calling the police but did not provide him with the neccesary training to use force, then the fault would lie with the security company not the individual guard.

  many readers of this journal and its companion, awake!, enjoy the artwork portraying the coming paradise earth.

  of cause, we do not know exactly what the paradise earth will look like, and the pictures published are simply artisic impressions based on such bible passages as isaiah 11:6--9.. nevertheless,one christian woman said:"when i see pictures of the coming paradise in the watchtower and awake!, i examine them closely, as one would a travel brochure.

  i endeavor to see myself there because this is where i truly hope to be in god's due time.".

  I went to the assembly today, fun!

  ok, mike and i went to the circuit assembly today at the mca at the university of maine (where i go to school).

  we made it through the first half and it went faster than i thought.. .

  this is me and my friend jenn (another ex-jw) the night before the assembly at 10:30pm getting drunk before heading out to the bar where we got really drunk and danced and had a great time.

  And to Valis...I want to know what your problem is, what are you implying about me exactly???

  JWbot, from reading his post above I don't think Valis has any arguement with you, just the opposite. I think his comments were directed to sixxy, he saw his coments as having a go at you and stepped in to defend you, emphasising the difference between just going to the assembly for the sake of it to take pictures(Like what I believe he was refering to in his post to sixxy), and doing something that you must have found hard but wanted to do for the sake of your family relations. I'm glad the day went well for you and you managed to improve some of your relationships with them!

  How True Are The Testimonies On This Board.?

  its easy to belive what we read and accept as truth.when my wife came to the computer i left on the screen a post on what happend at bethel (not intentionally) ..she read it and said i dont belive it?

  i would like to belive what i read on this board is 100 % true.

  iam grateful for the truth on the u:n and more and more stuff that blows my mind away.and also personal stories that have had a profound effect on me.. sadly iam certain with-out doubt that the majority of exsperinences on this board are true because no matter how sincere a person is when you allow people to have a higher legal position in the land they live in than the law of the land they live in( no matter how bad or corrupt the society of the land we live in.

  I think the best way to check on someones story if your not sure is to read all of their other posts and make sure everything checks out. If you make something up you have to remember what you told to who and make sure you don't trip yourself up. You've got to have a good memory. Personally, I keep forgetting to clear out my old emails/sms etc so if someone called me out wanting me to prove something I said I'd probably still be able to dig out things to show to back up my story about what was going on at the time, but I don't think many people would be in a situation to be able to do that.
