Its not so much particular bands but more particular songs I like. Some bands I like some of their stuff but hate the rest. My music has to have a relly good tune to it, and you have to be able to hear the instruments individually, not just get a wall of noise from it all running together. I once worked as a roadie (No where near as much fun as you think, and for no-one famous) and had to do some of the mixing. I worked out how I wanted the music to sound, and thats what I look for in bands. I love 80's rock, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns & Roses right throught to Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Rammstein, ect. I hate dance, ect but love it in hip hop clubs. I like Kid Rock, Cowboy. Its not my normal stuff I'd listen too, but just love that song.

Last night I asked about getting reinstated...
by Gadget inafter the meeting last night italked to some of the elders in the car park, and asked what more i neede to do to get reinstated.
they commended me on the things i've been doing (?
), and said the main point for reinstating would be how much contact i've been having with my fiance, who's still a wittness.

Garybuss, thats great! Since being DF'd I've never had so much time just to do what I want to. Its made such a difference. I don't think I'll be able to get reinstated now. People can say what they want to me, but their out of order when they try to use others, people I care about, to get at me. If they started on at me again about it I don't think I could hold it in. I barely did the other night. I'll have to wait and see what she says about it. She can't fade at home whilst living with an elder, and if we just get together anyway she'll get DF'd. I don't think she'd let herself get DF'd, and I don't think I could let her knowing what effect it would have.

But if I lie, they'll know because apparantly they know we've been together, been seen or something. If they know I'm lying on the committee they won't reinstate me. So'd be in the same boat as now.

During a quickbuild, me and my best friend were on security overnight and got rather intoxicated. We just managed to get up in time for everyone turning up the next morning. We got caught because our football had left dirty marks all over the walls and it had to be repainted!
I also know a sister who used to be raped by her boyfriend. It only stopped because a woman he was studying with got pregnant by him whilst this was going on. He was DF'd for getting the study pregnant, but the rapes were never mentioned.

Thanks everyone.
I want to get reinstated for the sake of my fiance. That would mean we could get married, whether or not in a Kingdom Hall, and then fade together. If we just got married now anyway, she would be DF'd. There are so many stresses involved with this, especially for people who were brought up as a witness. She wouldn't be able to cope with this, and I would worry for her personal safety. This would be on top of all the problems from her family this would cause.
Ozziepost, you said the elders were quite correct in this(According to JW policy anyway...), but wouldn't she then be counseled for breaking off the engagement, which is serious enough to remove somebody from a position in the congregation for?

After the meeting last night Italked to some of the elders in the car park, and asked what more I neede to do to get reinstated.
They commended me on the things I've been doing (?), and said the main point for reinstating would be how much contact I've been having with my fiance, who's still a wittness. She lives down the country, so we speak on the phone a few times a day, and see each other when we can - not as much as we'd like, and very little since I was DF'd. They said if we'd had any contact at all, even just a phone call, it would show not following counsel and not reinstate me. They would contact her elders, and have her in a judicial committee for not shunning me. Knowing her, she would refuse to break off contact and would therefore be DF'd. I haven't found being DF'd too bad, at least now I get some peace, but she wouldn't be able to cope with it, it would totally destroy her. And it would cause huge fomily problems for her too. Thats why I was going to get reinstated, get married, then both fade away. I couldn't even lie in the committee about seeing her, because they know we've met up, but haven't done anything about it. They said they would if they asked me in a committee and I said I had had contact. So if I denied it, they would know I was lying ablut it and not reinstate me.
If I try to get reinstated, she'll end up getting disfellowshipped. If we just see each other any way, she'll get disfellowshipped. This also happens if we break contact from now til I get reinstated, because of how much contact we've had, and her attitude towards it.
So they basically told me if I try to do anything other than just walk away from everything, getting reinstated, fiance, ect, they'll get HER, knowing what the effect on her would be.......B*****ds.

Help at the Right Time
1 When the apostle Peter saw a need to strengthen fellow believers, concern
moved him to give them loving reminders and encouragement. (2 Pet. 1:12, 13; 3:1) He urged 'those who had obtained a faith' to keep growing in spiritual qualities so as not to become "either inactive or unfruitful regarding the accurate knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Pet. 1:1, 5-8) Peter's purpose was to help them make the calling and choosing they had received from Jehovah sure, so that they might "be found finally by him spotless and unblemished and in peace." (2 Pet. 1:10, 11; 3:14) For many, his encouragement proved to be help at the right time.
2 Today, Christian overseers have similar concern for God's people. In these "critical times hard to deal with," many servants of Jehovah must contend with trying circumstances. (2 Tim. 3:1) Because of ongoing financial, family, or personal problems, some may feel as did David: "Calamities encircled me until there was no numbering of them. More errors of mine overtook me than I was able to see; they became more numerous than the hairs of my head, and my own heart left me." ~s. 40:12) These pressures can become so great that such ones may neglect vital spiritual matters and stop having an active share in the Christian ministry. Yet, despite their difficulties, 'they have not forgotten Jehovah's own commandments.' a)s. 119:176) Now is the right time for elders to provide such ones with needed help.-Isa. 32:1, 2.
3 To meet this need, the elders have been encouraged to make a special effort to assist those who are not currently having a share in the preaching work. A concerted effort to accomplish this is now in progress and will extend through the month of March. Book study overseers are being asked to visit inactive ones to offer spiritual assistance with a view to helping them renew their activity with the congregation. Where there is a need, a personal Bible study may be arranged. Others may be asked to assist. if you are invited to do so, your efforts could be very beneficial, especially if you give encouragement in a kind, understanding way.
4 There is reason for all to rejoice when someone resumes his activity with the congregation. (Luke 15:6) Our efforts to encourage inactive ones may truly result in "a word spoken at the right time for it."
-Prov. 25:11.
I hope this is useful for someone, their trying to make it difficult to fade.

Where about is this scripture? Its one of the ones that mean, everybody has to answer for themselves. You shouldn't believe something just because somebody is going to kill you, or shun you if you don't. Everybody has to make their own decisions about what they believe and what effect this has on their life.

I'm a lot more zealous now. I used to be a bit apathetic about it all, I didn't have to do any research ect because I got told what to believe from the platform. But now I'm doing a heck of a lot more research into things, and finding the real 'truth' for myself.
