i brought a top of the range lexmark 73 printer/scanner/copier about a year and half ago and got it covered by coverplan mastercare.
it cost me approx 230. .
the coverplan insurance told me that if it broke down i would get full cover for parts and labour or a brad new top of the range printer.. it broke down and without even looking at it coverplan told me to "throw it away" and they will send me vouchers to replace the value.
This coverplan is well known for the small print and for ripping off consumers. There is a website somewhere dedicated to persuing greivances like this, but I could only find the link below to similar complaints. Perhaps one of the people in the link could point you to the site and help you out.

sorry to bring off-topic personal issues to the board but i really need to vent.. you'll recall my post of a few days ago asking some technology advice.
on a regular basis, my car is being entered at night by person(s) unknown and basically just searched.
i'll come out and find a door ajar and the glove box open but nothing missing.
none of the other cars in this parking lot have ever been touched.
Is yours the only car in the lot that is unlocked? If you locked the car now I don't think they would smash a window to break in. They have been in so many times and know there is nothing in there to steal so why break a window and draw attention to yourself if there's nothing there to make it worth your while.

honestly, there are days i really feel that way.
They become more or less angry all the time. Any seeming normal behavior is forced, and the next explosion is uneasily waiting just below the surface, like a well-camouflaged land mine, waiting for someone to trip the trigger.
This is pretty much how I'm feeling at the minute. Its not so much the organisation as a whole for me, its a few elders I know who are on a little power trip and to hell with the consequences for other people. I just hope I don't bump into them on the street anytime soon, I don't know what I'd end up doing.

I know of meetings being relocated because of building work, ect, we had ourmeetings in school hall for two years. It was great having the meetings underneath a huge tree at christmas time! The change of location was always spread by word of mouth, and certainly not in a religious section. Is this a wind up?

Definitely. If I didn't know how much of a lie the truth was I'd be able to get reinstated so I could see my girlfriend again, But knowing how much of a lie it is I can't see a way to be able to do that unless I can manage to 'unplug' her which at the minute is looking very unlikely. If I hadn't known how much of a lie the truth is we'd probably be getting back together now instead of looking like we're going to split permanantly.

i've been having some problems with car break-ins for the last year or so.
i've lost several hundred dollars worth of car audio stuff before i wised up and started securing it better.
the last two times my car has been broken into, they didn't get anything but still go in my car and search it regularly.
If the car happens to be in line-of-site with your windows, then maybe setup a video camera looking out at the car...
Motorbike theft is a big problem over here, and most of my friends use a battery powered baby moniter in there garage to alert them to it being broken into. If you had this you could then start the recording on the video camera. Most crime is done by a hard core few so police would probably have little problem identifying the culprits from the footage.
For a way to trace a video recorder, how about hiding a mobile phone in a void in the casing. Second hand gprs phones can be bought cheaply, and if you set it to silent then the location of the phone can be found by it gprs signal. I'd talk to your local police about this first. There are complex rules about stings to catch criminals, and they also may be able to lend you a tracking device to do this. It would be an easy way to raise their arrest rate.

every magazine, newspaper or other periodical i have ever read would from time to time print a retraction to correct mistakes in past articles.
any reputable publishing house does this.. has anyone ever seen a retraction printed in the watchtower, awake, or any other wts publication?.

I was waiting for the bottom of the list, It just kept on coming. I was always aware of 'new light' coming through, but had no idea that there was so much. How can jw who does a lot of research, ect, not see this?

I told the elder body how ashamed I was of the lack of love in the congregation. Their response, of course, was "we’re all imperfect."

Does this not also mean that those who have a rough upbringing are forever condemned as not suitable for responsibilities? How loving.The way in which youths interact with older ones in the congregation and the way they take care of simple chores at home will indicate that they can likely care well for greater responsibilities later on in life.
