  Housewarming Party!!!!

  as a few on here already know, i moved into my own house a week or two ago, and am going to be having a housewarming party on saturday october 4th.

  so if anyone can get to county durham, uk, for then and fancies a few beers let me know.. paul

  I went backpacking around Romania a few years ago. We just booked the flights, landed there about teatime and went into town to find a hotel. I loved it, getting round on the local trains, meeting the locals etc. Most of our baggage going over was gifts for the aids victims in the orphanage in Cernavoda. The chil;dren there and in the hospital in Constanza really moved me. After that we went to the mountains in Transalvania which are stunning. We went up mount Sinaia in a cable car that was so rickity, and when we came down we saw on the news about the cable car accident in France killing some scientists. We were a lot more careful about what we went on after that, and weren't brave enough to try the romanian rollercoaster at the Black Sea... I'd love to go back, but most of the people I know don't fancy it and its not the sort of place I'd go to on my own.

  Former Elders, a Question

  i have always been unclear as to why i was disfellowshipped.

  i had my judicial meetings because i was dating a "worldly" guy.

  i assume this because they never said i was "formally charged" with anything.

  I remember being told that there only ever one reason for being DF'd, for not loving Jehovah enough. You can end up in a jc for many reasons but its purely your conduct and responses in the jc which dictate whether you are DF'd or Reproved. Of course there been testimonies on here where people have been told BEFORE their jc that they were getting DF'd, so this can go out the window, but if one of the elders was very upset after the decision I can't see him letting the others pull this off in your case. I was never an elder or anything else, but this is how I understood it.

  i had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).

  (and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).

  anyway, all you have to do is post or email me your username and town and i will draw you on the map above which will change gradually to include everyone!.

  I remember a lot of talks at the hall about recieving 'food at the proper time', getting the information just as we need it. I've been searching around on here for some things to send my now exgirlfriend to show her why I don't believe what the wbts says, and this has come at just the right time for me!   How do you explain to a jw...

  how do you explain to a jw why you don't believe the jw teachings anymore?

  you can explain what you believe and why, but if they're deeply in they can just pass it off as 'needing faith' etc.

  so without going into deep deep issues(i prefer the keep it simple, sweetie approach), what points do you use to make jws think about things?

  This would account for some hauntings. Natural amphitheatres could make some of the frequencies(Would this be possible???) from wind, ect, and would make people present scared so that they think they see things. But this could only account for a few hauntings, there are still a lot which could not be explained this way.
