the jw relative may even make some exceptions to associate in the name of "necessary" business, but then later on their conscience "pricks" them, and they realize that they have pushed the envelope too much and they withdraw their association altogether ... or ... the society comes out with some article or the co comes to town, and manage to ding on some issue that make jws feel guilty about associating with df'd and da'd relatives.

The problem I can see is, how would the person explain to the elder how they knew what was writen in the secret elders manual? If they admited that they had recieved/been told about it from their df'd relative would this not count a spiritual association because they had discussed Jehovahs Witnesses?

should avoid him; he is described at 2. John 9-11.Disfellowshipped and disassociated ones are shunned by
those who wish to have a good relationship with Jeho-

have been expelled from the congregation is set out in the

disfellowshipped or disassociated person so as not to be "a

disfellowshipped persons who have apostatized and

Elders can DF you whenever they feel like - for whatever reason they care to trump up - the Society will not intervene
You get in a jc for many reasons, but you get df'd for not showing the proper atiitude in the jc/having a brown enough nose. If you are counseled that it would be unwise to associate with a df'd person, and you disregard this advice this would show not having the correct attitude and lead to dfing.

in this case, no wrong is committed, and no punishment should be made.
Thats the official line, but how does it work in practice, especially if you not one of the 'in crowd' in the cong.

Where do you believe the watchtower organization will be in 20 years?
by micheal ini know if any of us had our way the org.

but in realistic terms, what condition will this cruel organization be in in 20 years.. .

I think as time gets on they will get more and more extreme, except the members will be blinded by the cult mentality and just see this as more evidence they are right. I think dmouse is right that they will keep growing, but in regard to the end coming I think we will see more or the "we are now living in spriritual paradise' sort of reasoning, that armagedon is not litural and we lived through it as predicted in the scriptures(We just didn't know it at the time) and are already in the new system. The new job will be to inform people of that before jehovah destroys them, which will be coming very soon. Matt 28 will have been fulfilled (Preached in all parts of the world), and we will be busy fulfilling the prophecy that they will have to reconise Jehovahs power before being destroyed, this being the new focus of the preaching work.
