Excellent question!!! My question would be: Will people still need to pee and poop in the upcoming Paradise Earth? Presumably they will be eating all that fruit, so who handles the human waste in Paradise? Does Jehovah just make it magically disappear??

If you had the audience of the GB, what is your #1 question you would ask them?
by Darth Fader The Sequel inthere are a million of them and mine is by no means the most important question to ask them if i only had one shot at it.
but, i have always wondered what kind of bs excuse they would give as an answer to this question: "brother goober bum, given that there are both male and female partakers here on earth who claim to be of the 'anointed' and plan on being of the 144,000 ruling with christ in heaven for eternity........ why are the female 'anointed' treated as submissive, second class citizens and why is their opinion on doctrinal matters, matters of teaching and reproving, anything at all.... why are they not recognized while here on earth even though you claim that jesus has selected them to become angels to rule with him?

Advice Needed
by HeyThere inso my situation is changing and i am trying to figure out the best way for me to handle this.
i am an unbaptized publisher married to a dub who was inactive when we met and when we married and during the course of our marriage, and just went back active a year and a half ago.
he is a full believing dub.

Ditto all the advice above. Just stop mentioning doubts to ANYONE and if anyone asks why you quit studying just respond by saying: 'There are personal reasons that I choose to only discuss with Jehovah'. If they persist in questioning you, simply say: 'When I feel up to further discussion I will let you know'. That should handle things to your satisfaction.

Getting really for three days in hell
by cookiemaster inhey guys, there's another thing i wanted to share with you.
i know this topic has been discussed over and over again, but it's just so fun to complain about it.
we're going to the district convention this weekend.

The reasons you 'won't be able to attend' this convention are only limited by your imagination. A sudden attack of 'anal fissures' would be an excellent reason not to sit at a convention for three days. Come on.....you can surely think up SOME excuse not to attend. Even if 'family' is the reason you 'have' to go, a splitting 3-day migraine after the Friday session should enable you to forego the other two days. Or at least stay in the presumably air-conditioned hotel room during the day.

I feel it is a form of serious child abuse for parents to manipulate their children into foregoing higher education. All at the urging of eight old men in New York who epitomize the term 'uneducated'.

One language in the new system
by OneEyedJoe inso at the convention, one of the talks was about how all people will speak a single language in the new system.
my ears perked up when i heard at the outset "now, we can't be dogmatic about this" because that immediately makes me think that they're backing away from a previously dogmatic stance.
he went on to say that everyone will be speaking hebrew in the new system because "evidently" (another word that gets my ears to perk up these days) that was what was spoken before the languages were confused at bable.

Interesting that with millions of people starving, epidemics going unchecked, nuclear weapons proliferating and ready to launch, JWs still prefer to worry about such things as what language people will speak in the 'New System'. Heaven forbid they should actually channel their energy into helping the poor and sick, as Jesus commanded. I have absolutely no use for idle Biblical speculation about trivialities that are all fiction to begin with. Yet another example of why I can't stand the Watchtower.

When has 'Bible Prophecy' EVER come true??? Ask Harold Camping. Ask the Watchtower. Ask the Christians who have been predicting the imminent 'Rapture' for decades. Folks, NONE of that stuff is gonna happen. The Bible prophecies are just made-up nonsense that has no basis in fact. The JWs, in particular, have no luck at all predicting what will happen in the future. How many years have they been saying Armageddon is 'close at hand'? NEWS FLASH: Ain't gonna happen!!!

Pedophile Elder in jail gets reinstated
by Trapped in JW land inthere was a brother in my congregation who was an elder.
he got disfellowshipped about two years ago for looking at child porn and also trying to meet up with a thirteen year old boy online.
he was also arrested soon after this.

Why does the legal system just give sex offenders involving children a mild slap on the wrist? Very simple explanation: The legal system NEEDS criminals running loose so as to keep the police, judges and lawyers employed. If convicted criminals were actually incarcerated for a LONG time, their jobs might be in jeopardy. Therefore jails and prisons are a 'revolving door' to keep criminals circulating in and out of the System. More police must be hired to perpetuate this cat & mouse game. I realize my opinion isn't a popular one, but that's my take on it. Why else do convicted child rapists/ abusers/molesters get only a couple of years in prison? Then they get out and the legal game starts all over again, with children being the innocent victims.

by disposable hero of hypocrisy inwe are up for a new kind of persecution in the future.
a new form that was unheard of for us.
in australia, disfellowshipped and dissasociated are planning on suing jw for emotional and mental hardship for being cast out completely.

What gay couple in their right mind would voluntarily choose a JW Kingdom Hall for their wedding ceremony? The local morgue would be a FAR more uplifting venue. Most gay people want a wedding with CLASS.....a trait not evident in any Kingdom Hall I've ever seen.

Jw's dont really care about doctrine do they?
by marriedtoajw init seems to me that jw's really don't care about doctrine.
ephesians chapter 4 verse 11 "and he gave some as apostles others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry for the building up of the body of christ until we attain the unity of faith and knowledge of the son of god to mature manhood to the extent of the full stature of christ so that we may no longer be in infants tost by waves and swept along by every wind of teaching arising from human trickery from their cunning in the interest of deceitful scheming".
is it just me or does this verse totally annihilate the doctrine or belief in new light.

It's no wonder that most JW eyes glazed over when the Revelation and Daniel books were studied. Totally boring rubbish. I told a woman at the Kingdom Hall that at my age I didn't feel the need to stuff my brain with such useless information. I heard later that she asked at the Revelation book study: 'Is this making sense to anybody?'. The Book Study was the highlight of the week for me strictly because people brought lots of tasty food for after the study. Of course the GB had to put a stop to that.
