The ultimate solution to all these problems: Just ignore the elders' advice and do what you want to do. If you miss meetings, so what? You are not their slave. As an adult, you have the right to live the way you want to live. You have the right to disregard any 'advice' you may receive. If you 'lose privileges', so be it. Don't lose any sleep over it.

So when?
by crazyhorse inso when at all will other jws wake up from their deep mind control and realize its all lies???.
i can't wait to see jws wake up from their control like it happened in "the stepford wives".. .

There is a certain percentage of people who seem to relish being in a high-control group such as a cult. They need to have someone in authority telling them what to do and what to think. Most JWs fall into this category. A few here and there will wake up and see the TTATT, but the majority prefer to remain brainwashed. Sad but true.

Non J-Dub child???
by J-DUBBED inthis in canada not the u.s. (if there is any law difference).. is there any legal way to keep away or restrain the j-dub step mother bitch from an innocent little four year old girl?
we have recently got wind of the j-dub bitch man-handling her by grabbing her by the face, scolding her, yelling at her.
it has been said that the father does nothing about it.

I have yet to meet a psychologically sound JW. They are all nuts in one way or another. Keep children away from them at all costs. Good luck!!

Franklin, TN sounds like an excellent choice. Go there for a look-see. It's convenient to be NEAR a larger city but not IN one.

Why is the GB determined to delete the few enjoyable aspects of being a JW?
by NAVYTOWN init seems the gb is trying to give the jws a more modern, friendly image.
new website, new logo, cartoons for instructing children, literature carts, slimmed-down books and magazines, etc.
yet on the other hand they delete some of the things many jws enjoy most: the book study in private homes, congregation picnics and large get-togethers, private group watchtower study sessions, colorful socks for men, denim dresses for women etc.

They claim to want new members, yet they make the average Witness's life less and less enjoyable. Doesn't make much sense to me. I guess that is what happens when there are uneducated dullards running the organization.

How to capitalise on recent unwise appointment with my wife.
by disposable hero of hypocrisy ina brother was appointed recently in the cong, he's got a dodgy history, doesn't really have the respect of many in the cong.
it's surprising to me, but i don't really care, good for him.
my wife, on the other hand, is angry!

Ask her: Do you think his appointment was guided by Holy Spirit, or was it strictly men who made the decision?

Are Jehovah's Witnesses Psycopaths?
by stuckinarut2 ini have been thinking that jws display an organizationally officially promoted form of thinking that makes them psycopaths!.
what i mean is, any person who enjoyed reading and leaning about past gruesome deaths, or who justified such things as being normal or acceptable would be deemed to be dangerous to society...a psychopath.
(by this i am refferring to the content of the bible of course).

local needs "are you spiritually grown up?"
by sylvlef inyesterday local needs was this theme.
are you spiritually grown up.. summary: if you are between 18-35 and not ms or elder, you lazy idiot are like a child.
at this age, especially if you grew up in "da trooooth" you have no issue with jw.org doctrine right (how do you know...?

JWs in general are about as 'spiritual' as my left shoe. They have no concept of REAL spirituality, they just think it is how many doors they knock on in a month. Being an MS or an Elder is just more unpaid drudgery that takes time away from being with family. That's the last thing most young JWs want, on top of the boring meetings and embarrassing door-knocking. And most Elders are about as obtuse and uneducated as the GB. No thanks! There are MUCH better ways to live a truly spiritual life than being a Witness.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved dog. I lost my poodle a number of years ago and I was devastated. I mentioned to a friend that I wondered if dogs go to Heaven, and she replied: 'it wouldn't be Heaven if our pets weren't there.'. I also lost a couple of hamsters several years ago and I cried for many days. All we can do is remember our animals and get satisfaction that we provided them with good homes and happy lives. I hope you can eventually give your love to another pet in the future. You have my deepest sympathy.
