Just call these ingrates and say personal matters have cone up that preclude them staying at your home. If they are rude enough to insist or question you further, just say the matters are personal and you prefer not to discuss the subject further. Then use the same technique if they ever again ask to stay in your home. Problem solved!!!

I need help in dealing with a toxic family member!!!!
by hoser ini have a close family member who is a pro in using shame to try to make me feel bad.
they are coming to stay at my place soon and the issue of me and mrs hoser not attending/ doing field service will come up no doubt.. i need some advice on how to deal with this because whenever i deal with these relatives they make me feel worthless.
it is probably part because they are jw's and jw's motivate by fear and guilt.. .

by Band on the Run inmy mailbox contained more than the usual collection of catalogues that i can easily go online to view.
a wt mag called tomorrow's world from an unkown group was mailed to my home address.
i don't need such garbage in my home.

See a therapist or school counselor. He didn't 'ruin your life' as much as he was just being a typical JW. The religion comes first. He would only cause you MUCH GREATER heartache in the future. You WILL find another close friendship/relationship, but give it time to sort things out for yourself. Personally, to me he sounds like a first-class jerk, JW or not. You deserve much better!!! Please take a break from obsessing over him......focus on YOUR needs and get help in sorting out your true feelings about what you want in a future relationship.

Take it SLOWLY.....my advice it to just keep it on an 'olf friends' level until you get a feel for current circumstances. Then introduce TTATT gradually as seems appropriate.
