The next time a JW mentions 'demons' or 'evil spirits', just laugh and say: 'Oh, and I suppose you also believe in ghosts, goblins, leprechauns, the tooth fairy and Santa Clause??? Like demons, they are just figments of some people's imagination'. I doubt saying this will make any difference, however. Their minds are made up.

Craziest demon/magic/supernatural stories you heard when you were a JW
by EndofMysteries inshare yours, i'll start if off, i have a few i heard from the platform or from other jw's.
one from the platform, a witch was studying with jw's, and she had a relationship with demons/spirits.
when she was studying they turned on her and threatened her if she didn't stop.

A few questions for believers
by keyser soze inwhen confronted with all of the inconsistencies and atrocities of the bible, many believers invariably claim that they don't base their faith in christ on what's written in the bible.
so what is the basis then, if not scripture?.
and please don't tell me "the lord has revealed himself to me".

Christianity is an interesting Fairy Tale as long as a person is willing to believe it. Folks, in reality it's all nonsense. There isn't any 'God' up there who is looking after us. If Jesus existed, he is long gone. We are on our own, there is no 'life after death'. All we have is the present moment. So come up to present time and live your life fully NOW.

Did Jesus Christ Have A Messianic Superiority Complex?
by frankiespeakin inhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/messiah_complex.
a messiah complex (also known as the christ complex or savior complex ) is a state of mind in which an individual holds a belief that they are, or are destined to become, a savior .
the term "messiah complex" is not addressed in the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders (dsm) , but symptoms of the disorder closely resemble those found in individuals suffering from grandiose delusions (gd) or delusions of grandeur.

Anthony Morris (The Turd ) definitely seems to have a classic case of Messiah Complex. And the devout JWs hang on his every word. Too bad everything he says is utter nonsense. The members of the GB have got to be the LEAST 'spiritual' people I've ever heard. Their talks are nothing but boring banalities. It's laughable. Pathetic, really.

DO NOT....UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.....MARRY THIS WOMAN OR HAVE A CHILD WITH HER!!!! IF YOU DO YOU WILL REGRET IT. LET'S FACE IT.....IF SHE THINKS ABOUT GOING BACK TO BEING A JW THEN SHE IS CERTIFIABLY NUTS. OF COURSE SHE WILL WANT TO RAISE THE CHILD AS A JW. THAT'S OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE BUT YOU. THERE ARE MILLIONS OF SANE NON-JW WOMEN OUT THERE WHO WOULD BE IDEAL FOR YOU. FIND ONE OF THEM. DON'T SADDLE YOURSELF WITH YET ANOTHER JW NUTCASE. IGNORE THIS ADVICE AT YOUR PERIL.

1914 or 1934 ?
by Chris Tann ini have thoroughly researched the watchtower doctrine of 1914, and am convinced it is neither biblically or historically correct.
but every now and then i wonder how ironic it is that world war 1 did start in that year, also pestilence and famine perused.
maybe, just maybe the witnesses are correct.

Hey, I have thoroughly researched Bible prophecy and have come up with a remarkably accurate date: in January 1949 I pooped my diaper for the first time. It's really amazing how the Bible writers can know these important events thousands of years before they occur.

More Elaborate Celebrations International Conv. Atlanta
by NoMoreHustle infound this video of the entertainment preperation for the delegates in atlanta, u.s. this seems to be professionally done maybe outside sources or probably done by "professional" jw's.
this is just like christendom or all the other religious organizations that they deem to be from the devil.
the people seem to be very sincere in there efforts & is much appreciated,.

Magnum: I am also an animal lover and I agree totally with your comments. How could Jehovah let helpless sick animals die while at the same time supposedly answering the prayers of JW GB glorified nobodies? The real answer is that their isn't a Jehovah. It's all made-up nonsense. To top it off, in my experience JWs don't really have much concern for animal welfare. So that says all I need to know about them and their silly-ass religion.

Faith - Virtue or Vice?
by nicolaou infaith gives you permission to believe that jesus actually did feed thousands with a few loaves & fishes, walk on water and rise from the grave.
all the evidence proves that none of this happened so why persist with faith?
why be dishonest with yourself?

To me, 'Faith' seems to be ultimately about the fear of dying and having 'faith' in living beyond death. I would really like to hear about a religion that isn't based on 'hoping' to never die or on going to some 'Paradise ' after death. The opposite of Faith is just accepting our finality and living in the Now, making the most of the life we are currently living. Everything dies. Nothing comes after. Get over it and live Life like there's no tomorrow. Because the present is really all we've got.

Where is the REAL proof that anyone has EVER experienced 'life' after death??
by NAVYTOWN inthere are countless religions, and have been since prehistoric times.
most of these religions have included a version of an 'afterlife', of some wonderful place where humans reside after death.
the bible claims that jesus was 'resurrected' after his death and then 'went to heaven'.

There are countless religions, and have been since prehistoric times. Most of these religions have included a version of an 'afterlife', of some wonderful place where humans reside after death. The Bible claims that Jesus was 'resurrected' after his death and then 'went to Heaven'. JWs believe they will be resurrected into a Paradise Earth where there will be absolutely perfect conditions. But, my question is: Where is the definite PROOF that anyone has EVER somehow survived after undergoing physical death? IF Jesus was in fact resurrected, why has he not shown himself in 2000 years? We have only a 2000 year old book to go by as 'proof'. That's all!!! A book that also talks about Talking Snakes and an Ark holding EVERY bird, animal, insect, etc not to mention a person who is eaten by a 'large fish' and survives for three days unharmed. The facts are that EVERY LIVING THING on Earth dies at some point. When they die they are GONE.....forever!!! No 'afterlife'. Birds, Animals, fish, trees, insects, etc. They all die at some point. My contention is that when humans die, they are likewise gone forever.....dead and not coming back in any form. Obviously this is very hard for a huge number of people to accept. So instead of facing their mortality, they fall for Magical Thinking stories about another life after physical death. Folks, this current life is IT!!! Make the most of every minute of it. It's really all we've got.

Was there an adjustment to the August WT, QTR at the new Circuit Assembly
by Quarterback inthere seems to be a rumour re, the qtr regarding the resurrection and remarriage.
i know that the qtr states that the scripture refers to a heavenly resurrection, and so the survivors may remarry with their ressurected mate.
somehow they modofied this at the circuit assembly.

The 'marriage ends at death' part is exactly right. Death ends it all, period. Dead marriage mates will not be re-married because they will be DEAD.....forever. It's a nice fantasy to believe that marriage partners will be together once again in Paradise. But, sadly, that's just Magical Thinking. Nobody survives death, not even Jesus. So the best bet is for married couples to make the most of their lives together NOW. Because, ultimately, NOW is all we've got.
