I like the proposition. This stuff is fun. I say some would be martyrs and others would do whatever they wanted medically speaking in secrecy. If new light came out it would be after the fact and anyone that knew anything about their treatments would be under a gag order with the threat of a lawsuit for leaking anything.

Honestly those numbers are pathetic. All that 1914 - 2014 hype with international conventions all over the place and baptisms are DOWN???!!!!! Every stinky little JW kid older than 7 was guilt tripped into taking the plunge last year. Our convention baptism section looked like a middle school field trip!
Plus they pulled out all the stops for peak pubs in Aug. Any kid over 4 and anything close to a bible study was guilt tripped into becoming an unbaptised publisher in Aug (which is the peak month as we know anyway) for the late-announced grand ole JW.org campaign. So they had to play games to inflate the number to a measly 2.2%!!!!!!
Wow....just wow. Expect flat growth at best in pubs and bigger declines next year in baptisms. They will never have the 100 years of kingdom rule trick to play again and practically all the kids are dunked now.

actually, just one musing.. there are a number of scriptures that wtbts uses to support their doctrine of everlasting life on paradise earth.
the vast majority come from the hebrew scriptures.
using just one verse, i believe i can disprove this doctrine quite soundly.. the verse is john 6:68.. simon peter answered him: lord, whom shall we go away to?
Great point. The disciples knew those scriptures in psalms and such were just over the top songs about future blessings from Jah / promised land yada yada...No real outlined purpose or plans for the future restoration of Eden for the "great crowd" and all that. I swear the more this TTATT stuff sinks in the more comical jw beliefs sound.

such BS ... They write it like counseling services are available continuously. I guess you could hound the elders and constantly ask for a meeting, but that would only work a couple of times. The df person would be avoided like the plague after that.

I had a conversation with a brother that is involved with scoping out the costs of building these new "Kingdom Halls". I spouted off about what I knew about the design changes and the new plans (which I learned from this thread lol) and he asked how I knew all this because it was suppose to be confidential. He told me he has seen pics and blueprints for these new commercial units. I'm not sure if the pics were real buildings or digital drawings though.

when i look at the front page of this site i wish there was a count for new members that joined.
that day, the month or even quartly.. the jdubs always brag about new members and how many are getting baptized.
but, yet they are still under 8 million with probably about half actually attending meetings.
My original post was acknowledging that I agree it would be cool to see the surge in members after an event like the Tony Turd disaster (branch visit).

How do the like/dislike buttons work? I have tried a click a couple of them and nothing happens.
