i know some of you are going to roll your eyes, but i have been reading the divine plan of ages.

will someone please give me a timeline of what russell (bible students) thought would happen, when it would happen?.

I know some of you are going to roll your eyes, but I have been reading The Divine Plan of Ages. Here is my question:

Will someone please give me a timeline of what Russell (Bible Students) thought would happen, when it would happen?

For example:

Christ's presence (parousia) 1874 - start of millenial reign? Sits down on glorious throne (Matthew 25:31)? Versus coming in "Father's glory".

Great tribulation ?

Babylong the Great killed by nations ?

Christ's coming (erchomai) ?

Armageddon 1914 ?

When Jesus binds & throws Satan into abyss ?

When annointed are actually resurrected to heavenly life ?

What word does the parable of sheep and goats use?

Rutherford and Salvation For All

can anyone direct me towards the first article where rutherford changed the whole "salvation for all" doctrine?

this must have been a huge shift, since russell believed that christ died for the sins of all and that no one would be destroyed at armageddom, but would have a full chance in a world withouth oppressive religion & governements, to show obedience and not go into second death.. seems to good to be true!

This must have been a huge shift, since Russell believed that Christ died for the sins of ALL and that no one would be destroyed at Armageddom, but would have a full chance in a world withouth oppressive religion & governements, to show obedience and not go into second death.

so, even if jws of the great crowd are found faithful and sparred at armageddon, they still have to prove faithful at the final judgement at the end of 1,000 years, right?

or, are jws of the great crowd assured they will pass the final judgement.

i don't know if anybody is interested, but they put the entire 2014 annual meeting online at tv.jw.org if you can stomach it.

it will be nice to finally verify or disprove some of the rumors that have been flying around.

Around 3hrs into the Annual Meeting video, Mr. Lett is giving atalk regarding parables. He says that the ten virgins parable is about annointed christians staying faithful. Then he says that the "evil slave" parable in Matthew is also directed at annointed Christians if they were to not fullfill their duties (as in individually). I thought the Faithful slave was the Governing Body! But, the would be evil slave would be just the annointed Christians who proved unfaithful? This seems strange, since the "faithful slave" is said to be a 7 member governing body, but the "evil slave" is individual annointed Christians.

dude, every picture i see of any bethel heavies or gb members (a lot of cos also) have them wearing a second huge gold ring!

this is a clear sign of "hey i'm a bigshot!

" you just dont see that in interviews of celebrities or politicials.

You just dont see that in interviews of celebrities or politicials. One wedding ring is standard. Two is a sign of prominence or pretending your prominent. Just a social thing. Bunch of narcissists.
