They are receiving over $ 800 million from the Brooklyn sales and have money in the bank drawing interest. Certainly they have investments and endowments pumping in money from shatan's system of things.

JWorg needs the money for the upcoming child abuse claims, like Candace Conti. I've seen here and there they have some sort of "pension" or monthly benefits system. Certainly they need money for their Branch offices that offer dry cleaning and special services for their bethelites.

That and pumping money to build the new HQ quicker. Besides lovingly whipping the volunteers.

I was on it for a year or so, not active though. At the end, it is a "front" for a typical match making site just with a JW focus. Anyone can make an account and fib or lie their way through.

Seems most of the women were from the far east, like the Philippines.

i am pretty annoyed to read/hear them saying that they are the true christian religion because they preach, follow the bible bla..bla..bla... let's list down the things in the bible that they don't follow/do.

They go over and above of abstain from blood, but not from fat or unclean meats. They are unhealthy and misread what Peter's vision meant. Still, pork meat is from an animal that poorly digests its food such that its meat will be tainted by any bad food it eats.

I read in Zechariah 14 that the Festival of Tabernacles will be celebrated in the restored earth, so why not gather for it now? The main thing is to retime the district assemblies to the 15th day of the 7th Scriptural month. However that would "open" the eyes of the R&F eyes to a bit more of the Turah (and less JWorg doctrine). And missing that festival could mean missing life.

Oh, the biggest is loving the Creator by using His name, not some created name. The Creator's name, shown in latin as YHUH or YHWH, is much closer to Yahuah and not Jehovah. His Son's name is not the English translation of a poor Greek transliteration of His Hebrew name. It's much closer to Yahusha (came in his Father's name) and not Jesus. There is no J sound in Hebrew nor was there a J in English until about 1633.

Don't quite know how the Bible Students under Rutherford passed the "inspection" (about 1919) and later adopted the name of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1935. Any "wink" of ignorance has long passed since groups started using the sacred name in the 1930s.

Do we need to alert newbies to the search engine on topics , so we dont needlesly rehash topics already covered in depth.?

i must admit i was slow to wake up to the search button to find out about a subject which may have been thrashed to death years ago.only to try to revitalise it in my ignorance.

this is not a fault with newbies .bear with me .i am not computer literate .but is it possible or even plausible that newbies are given a basic instruction on how to find information using the search function ?

surely it could save a lot of needless repetition.just saying.. smiddy.

Good point. Search is your friend.

Linking the relevent past discussion posts (with a note they were searched) would add details without necessarily repeating (again) what was posted.

In another forum, I saw 3 posts of the 15 January 2014 WT. That seems over "rehash".

Good call mindnumbed. It is a "pick and choose" conscience thing. Like another posted about printed Scriptures, a few may "use the Bible" but be reading from their tablet.

In the end, it will stumble a few people attending, especially if the tablets seem to be iPad 2s instead of modest, sufficient, ones.

It's nice that as the JWorg does to the Catholics on their doctrine, the Catholics respond. Thus a sharing back toward JWs that are friends/relatives to the Catholic faith.

Well, many Jewish groups honor the 7 annual Appointed Times. There is a growing number of messianic groups and congregations (that connect themselves to Yahuah, Yahweh, YHWH, YHUH, etc). A search on the sacred name will soon find groups.

I agree, as the spring festivals were mostly fulfilled, and the fall festivals still have a prophetic meaning.

They continue to use the name Jehovah and Jesus. Hebrew has no J sound. Jehovah was a created name from YHVH (or YHWH) and Adoni (as I recall). Jesus is transliteration of the Greek translation of the Hebrew name (or something like that).

So it is proof the god in the religion is the god of the system of things. JWorg is a daughter of Babylon.

And confirmed by the content in The Finished Mystery (1919) that would have been "inspected" during that period.

why i ask, because last night after the agm meeting i was thinking...would god name himself a jewish name, since he in not partial...would he name himself a name that folks could get all puffed up about & say see...god is a jew.

also, jesus, well, he came from the line of jews, not really.

As posted above, it comes down to convenience, that and JWorg tradition. After all, who would be first to admit of them not using accurate knowledge? Or put forth "new light" that has been light since 1930s of the sacred name.

This new translation would have been an excellent time to use the Hebrew name, and not a created name starting with a J sound (which was not used until about the 1500s). Sadly, they cling to Rutherford's naming and not shine brighter as Yahuah's Witnesses. Well first they need to clean their mess of pedophiles, shunning, secret Shepherd the Flock book, etc.

But, with the misprint in Numbers chapter 35ish as I recall, who knows?

This is my first post after lurking on the forums for a year or two.

I've been studying with various JWs, from the Live Forever, to Knowledge, and the Bible Teach book. There was always something "off". I thought being outside would be being closer to the Creator for example. As I look back, they had the truth, but it was a watered down version, and with heavy handed doctrine. Yes, there is a love, but more of a conditional love . . . for those on the path toward baptism. Thankfully I was a welcomed "attendee" and had raised my hand and made good comments.

Just the name, Jehovah, warrants a look. Accurate knowledge leads to not Jehovah, not Jesus, but instead "stops" at Yahweh. Deeper still would be the Latin YHUH (or YHWH) and finally at Yahuah (or sometimes Yahuwah).

So similar religions would use the more accurate knowledge of His name and his son that came in His name. Since Jesus is a Greek translation of a Hebrew name, a better transliterated "sounded" name would be Yahusha. Look on the internet and you'll see congregations or assemblies that use the Father's name and/or Son's name. Also look for Messianic.

I've made a list of assemblies and knowing your state I can post a few links of nearby assemblies.
