  I wonder...

  i wonder about why so many of us stick to the "truth" within the frame of the jehovah's witness religion.. of course, the wts has authority over our minds thru the control of information, demonizing any "worldly" knowledge that might jeopardize our faith in this entity.. thru my own experience, i understand how we can stick to this organization; because of a life's investment in serving, and the close ties of family and peers we do not wish to abandon or upset.

  so we are here on sites like these, to understand the mechanisms of the cult... to try to make sense of why we should stay, or why we should leave.. the consequences are too important to take this lightly, or too swiftly.. if i may share a bit of my journey, i did not have to worry too much about the cult at first, because my main battle was based deeper than that.

  after all, the root of any christian religion is in the bible itself; faith in jehovah and christ; trust in the idea that the bible is inspired by god himself.. so yes, my quest went to the base, the root of the jw faith... the bible.. since childhood, the character of jehovah was a problem for me.

  What do you think of the word:"THEOCRACY"

  when i come accross these coined phrase like "theocratic school" i wonder if it really is time to live a theocracy on earth, and it it is not an exageration by gb to make people think they occupy a undisputable place in that theocracy where anybody who challenges them, challenges theos.. is the theocratic attitude on earth christian?

  Prayers

  when i read online forums about when someone dies or something bad happens, people comment saying "sending prayers".. i wonder, why, what for?

  prayers have not brought anyone back from the dead.

  have they healed anyone?

  for people who have a paralyzing fear of dying, to where it seems like it's this horrible, stalking monster, jwism is a powerful sedative.. but really, the idea of living forever, in human form, is nonsense.

  living forever isn't about living forever, it's about not dying.. death is natural.

  it can be painful, sudden, or both.

  Donations aren't coming in from Western Countries: more confirmation

  in talking to sparky the elder today (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/263862/1/an-elder-called-me-hes-waking-up-and-knew-id-understand-nice-for-him-to-have-a-friend) i found out he did the accounts for our congregation for years.

  he said very rarely did the congregation meet its expenses without some well-off brother chipping in a few grand here and there.

  the elders would also make up the shortfall.

  If God knows how we are wired, Why punish people for being gay?

  i just finished reading this story on yahoo, two comments stick out and cannot comprehend why can't we just show true love and stop beign hurtful to our flesh and blood.

  so yes, if god made us and knows how we are wired how can god kill a person for beign gay when they did not choose to be gay?

  why the more religious a person is, the more fanatical?.

  now we have to answer...... 1) is there more than one god?

  how do you choose the most senior god?.

  2) if you chose religious texts to make this desicion, how do you know they are not purposfully misleading by an ill willed god?.

  romans 1:1;philippians 1:1;1thess 1:9;james 1:1;jude1:1;revelation1:1;11:18 ect,,, distinctively calls these ones slaves as well as jesus being called the faithful rev 5:1,2 thess 3:3 or 1tim1:12. even the prophets were faithul slaves.

  yet, it's only these eight weenies that say they are, making themselves kings and priests before jesus comes again.

  how sad for the sheep they have not come to know the messiah..

  Agape at work -how?

  the essence of the christian congregation was the enlightenment of society by preaching (refer to jesus words 'you are the light') and the beautifying of society by acts of love, helpage that have positive impact on peoples lives (see good samaritan or james' words of the faith without action is dead).

  why is the wts obstined at not doings acts of helpage?

  even those within the congration especially in africa, no corporate social responsibility.

  jehovahtm is surely the greater child abuser.
