Hey startingover, what year is the TL250? Got any pics of it? I'm after a TL125 as well, they come around in the paper here every few centuries.
A Rune, I'd have one of them suckers.
Next bike is a Ducati ST2. Good thing the shed is big enough for em all.
Hey Animal, nice!

How do you feel when.....
by Dimples in....you read in the paper that one of the jw's you knew died and you are either disfellowshipped or disassociated?.
do you mourn all alone for them, do you send a card to the family anonymously, or do you just leave things alone?
i feel bad and wish i could do something but then i have to realize that i didn't shun them, they chose to shun me.

The last dub funeral I went to, I sat in the front row. Do what you feel is right by you, not some stupid rules
made up to protect the braindead.
Write the card, sign it and send it. We are above the crap now.

Telephone Canvassing, What A Cheek!
by Englishman ini'm being hassled by american companies tele-canvassing me from across the pond!
i'm registered with the uk telephone preference service which theoretically stops unwanted canvassing calls.
also, my caller display reveals whether or not a person is witholding their telephone number.

When JWs Knock on Your Door....
by Frannie Banannie inwhat are your most successful methods for dealing with their visit?
do you prefer to "blow 'em off"?
or do you attempt to dissuade them from their inanity?.

Up till I moved state 18 months ago, whenever they called it was a 90% chance they were related to me.So we just had a family chat or a cuppa.
Now I'm an unknown, I answer their questions truthfully. My fav being "what do you think about all the trouble in the world?" My answer is
that it's never been better! That stumps 'em. Now I got questions I learnt from here. Bring 'em on!

What do you miss the most not being a witness anymore?
by JH inis there anything that you miss, since you don't belong to the jw's anymore?
friendship, family, or maybe just the feeling of belonging to some groupe that had you dreaming of a better world?

Raised a JW... did you have a childhood?
by ignorance is strength inpersonally i was quite serious at a young age.. there was no "boys will be boys" growing up.
personally i feel kind of cheated out of a childhood by an organization that forced you to think that "everything around you was going to be gone soon so you better grow up, start publishing, and giving talks.
" did any of you experience a less than stellar childhood, especially because of the lack of holidays and socially-isolating religion gowing up?
-
smack
Sorry for what I said, I was just answering the question about the less than stellar childhood due to isolation and missed holidays.
That's about all that went wrong for me.
I meant to bring attention to the ones that REALLY had it bad, like Lady Lee, puttytat, Josh and countless others.
I really am sorry
