New Article on BEARDS and Attire of Jehovah's Witnesses
by jwfacts ini have had requests to add an article about beards and jehovah's witnesses.
it is interesting that there is virtually no statement that says a witness cannot have a beard, yet universally they do not have beards.
i have scoured quotes from all the threads on jwn, all references to beard on the cd watchtower library, and copies of elders letters that i have.

From Rabbi Hillel : " asked by a prospective convert to Judaism to teach him the whole Torah while he stood on one leg, replied: 'That which is hateful unto you do not do to your neighbor. This is the whole of the Torah, The rest is commentary. Go forth and study." (Shabbat 31a)
From Jesus : " “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 7:12

Thanks Designs.. Are you by chance aware of any writings prior to 1 C.E. That Mention some one "Fulfilling the Law", while speaking or teaching? I have read that this was a common saying, and it's meaning was that someone Explained or Taught Torah well. I have not seen any examples yet though.
Thanks : )

Good Question Fulltime, I suppose the Talmud did not necessarily exist in the first few decades CE in written form, only Orally. Perhaps this saying of removing the rafter was a common Saying used by Jesus and other Raabis of the past.

Interpolated portions of the Bible are responsible for JW mistakes and arrogance
by exWTslave inbible is a mixture of truth and untruth.
(jeremiah 7:22; 8:8; act 20:28-30) everything that falls in harmony with our experience is truth.
for example, every action has equal and opposite reaction.

Jeremiah 19:5 "They built the high places of Baʹal in order to burn their sons in the fire as whole burnt offerings to Baʹal, something that I had not commanded or spoken of and that had never even come into my heart.”
and you shall slaughter the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear and on the lobes of the right ears of his sons, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet, and dash the rest of the blood against all sides of the altar.
You can read the whole bloody mess in Exodus 29
Can anyone seriously believe that God made up this ritual Some of the prophets didn't seem to think so. "For in the day that I [the Lord of Hosts] brought your ancestors out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to them or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices" [Jer 7:22 ] (If you want to check this out, don't use the NIV translation since it mistranslates this verse. The KJV and any of the standard versions are OK.) Hosea said "For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. [6:6] This is an important verse because Jesus cites it himself [Mat. 9:13 ].
7“Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you.
I am God, your God. 8Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you; your burnt offerings are continually before me. 9I will not accept a bull from your house
or goats from your folds 10For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. 11I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine 12“If I were hungry, I would not tell you for the world and its fullness are mine 13Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats 14Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High 15and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”

Exwtslave - You would probably enjoy this book. http://biblehub.com/library/unknown/the_clementine_homilies/
This book gives stories of Peter dealing with the same issues, you are talking about.
heres one to think about.. Why would Abraham argue with God over the destruction of Sodom, however say nothing about his own Son?

Why Are 2 Different Thrones needed in Heaven?
Revelation 3:21 " The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne."
Jesus does not rule in Heaven.. He rules on Earth -
Matthew 19:28 " Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. - Zech 9:10
Revelation 5:10 " You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."

Preterism
by Chris Tann inwhen i started to do my research concerning ttatt, i started to see the scriptures in a different light.
one thing i noticed is that when the epistles talk about the last days, christs presence, the ressurection to heaven; the writers were speaking specifically of their time, not some two thousand years later.
even when jesus speaks of his presence and the kingdom being established, he was talking to his disciples of that time and what they were soon to expect.

Pterist - Interesting viewpoint, I hadn't heard that before.. By saying Spiritual Millenium, are you implying a Physical Millenium as well, later? Also when do you think the Spiritual Millenium would have begun, did any specific events mark it?
Also im interested to hear what you think about my above comment, regarding a Heavenly Throne and a the Literal Throne of David, sat on by Jesus.
(Not interested in arguing btw, just interested in your views)
