I think it's like post traumatic stress. It will take a long time to wear off. When I get a thought that I don't want I try to think of something else quickly to get rid of it.

Is my mind still controlled???.....Is yours????
by KateWild inwe are all set for a lovely xmas week and nice holiday, but this image is indellably printed in my brain and i cannot erase it.. .
it's from the bible teach book, chapter 16 para 11. i did that many bible studies and trained them how we need to make a stand for true worship and not ever return to pagan practices.. so now over this season of good will, and fun i have a literal bitter taste.. are you having flash backs?
how can we remove these images from our brain?

What if the nations would have submitted to God's Kingdom in 1914?
by processor inthough i have written this for the alternative daily text, it is quite serious.
jws complain that the nations refused to submit to god's kingdom in 1914. what if they had done this?.
the kings of the earth take their stand and high officials gather together as one against jehovah and against his anointed one.

According to Zechariah 14, when Jesus returns there will be a massive earthquake in Israel which will split the mount of Olives in half. I think we might notice that.

I remember looking up the chimney and realising that the fat guy could not possibly get down there, but we still had a good time at Christmas as kids. I don't do Christmas much now, but still like to see all the pretty lights.
I wish you all a Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year, free from all your anxieties and troubles.

Are you excited about the next space race?
by tootired2care infor the last several years a number of things have been coalescing to make deeper space exploration and colonization possible and even feasible.
it seems that the velocity of such endeavors has really increased the last couple of years.
big things are in the works such as:.

That's really funny, tootired. If Satan is down here will those in space be safe from his influence?
(Incidentally, I don't believe in Satan anyway.)

The 1914 war in heaven was first announced in 1925
by Doug Mason inin its issue of march 1, 1925, the watch tower published the leading article entitled the birth of the nation which was the first announcement that there had been war in heaven after the gentile times ended in 1914 and that the devil and his angels had been cast down to our earth.
but this was further called attention to later in the article the king in action in the issue of september 15, 1925. this ousting of the devil and his angels from heaven had its effect upon the wild beast and its kingdom here on earth.
all this was forcefully presented in the book entitled deliverance, which was released on friday, may 28, 1926, at the international convention in london, england, after the conventioners adopted a resolution entitled a testimony to the rulers of the world.

Seems to me that if there was war in heaven there is not much hope for peace down here.

Have JWs and other Christians completely missed the point of Matthew 24:4-8?
by Island Man inmany people think those verses are suggesting that the wars, earthquakes, food shortages, etc are all a sign that the end is imminent.
however, a careful examination of the context seems to suggest that jesus was actually forewarning his followers not to draw such a conclusion from such events.
see this interesting article on the subject:.

Now that Israel is now back in the land the next thing to happen (I think) is told in Zechariah 14.
If the Jews start to build a temple, where will they want to put it, and what problems would that cause?

If he is fit enough to consider marriage he may live to 105, she may not reach 90. A 10 year gap is not enormous. Let them be happy.
