angels and women
by caroline77 ini was told by jw's that angels came down to earth before the flood, and had children with women.. i have a question about this and would like the sort of answer a jw would give so that i can be ready for them when they come to my door.. if one third of god's angelic staff were banished to earth, are they doing this now?.
if not, what is stopping them?.
if so, where are all these half angel children?.

144,000 are only born again disproved by 1 verse.
by yogosans14 in1 john 5:1 says everyone (not just special people) but everyone who believes that jesus is the son of god is born of god.
born of god is the same thing as born again.
the jw theology is so easy to refute i dont see how anyone can read the whole nt and still be one..

I agree, yogosans14. There are many similar verses.

Thanks for the very useful link, Fernando.
A WAR IN HEAVEN
4 The preceding chapter in this book explained that Jesus Christ became King in heaven in the year 1914 . (Daniel 7:13, 14) Soon after he received Kingdom power, Jesus took action. “War broke out in heaven,” says the Bible. “Michael [another name for Jesus] and his angels battled with the dragon [Satan the Devil], and the dragon and its angels battled.”* Satan and his wicked angels , the demons, lost that war and were cast out of heaven to the earth. God’s faithful spirit sons rejoiced that Satan and his demons were gone. Humans, however, would experience no such joy. Instead, the Bible foretold: “Woe for the earth . . . because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”—Revelation 12:7, 9, 12.
No-one has actually answered my question, which is: What is to stop these wicked angels doing what JW's believe that angels did before the flood, and why send them here?
This is interesting, because you were all experienced JW's and so I expect to get a similar result when I get the opportunity to ask JW's the same question at my door.

Bart, Thanks for your reply.
So the answer to you question is that a JW will say that there are no fallen angels on the earth, because the event happen before the Flood and the demon offenders are locked in Tartarus, end of debate.
The ones who supposedly cohabited with women were before the flood, but what about the ones who were involved in the 'war in heaven' in Revelation 12? I was told that they came to earth in 1914. What is to stop them from doing the same thing if they are bad? And why send them here?

This is so sad. All those people living in fear. Are they confusing demons with germs? People with an irrational fear of germs will do similar things.

Why did God send all these angels to earth when He could have sent them to the far reaches of the universe instead?

BASIC questions any reasonable person might ask
by Terry ini wonder about things.
i wonder why other people don't wonder about them.. for example:.
have you ever been to a circus and seen a "clown car"?.

Terry is clearly a thinker and has brought up some good points. Apparently pigs are infested with parasites (if not kept correctly) which, if eaten by humans in undercooked meat, can migrate to the brain and cause insanity. That is most likely the illness which the poor man was suffering from rather than anything supernatural.

What the Bible says
by caroline77 inif you want to wake up your jw relatives try challenging them with this series of bible quotations:.

If you want to wake up your JW relatives try challenging them with this series of Bible quotations:
Acts 1 v 11
Men of Gal′i·lee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus who was taken up from you into the sky will come in the same manner as you have seen him going into the sky.”
John 20 v 19-20
When it was late that day, the first day of the week, and the doors were locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them: “May you have peace.”+ 20 After saying this, he showed them his hands and his side.+ Then the disciples rejoiced at seeing the Lord
It was the same damaged body that had been wrapped in linen and left in the tomb.
Matthew 28 v 6
He is not here, for he was raised up, just as he said.+ Come, see the place where he was lying
In other words, he got up and walked away.
Matthew 24 v 23-26
Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’+ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it.+ 24 For false Christs and false prophets+ will arise and will perform great signs and wonders so as to mislead,+ if possible, even the chosen ones. 25 Look! I have forewarned you. 26 Therefore, if people say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; ‘Look! He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
In other words he won't be hiding anywhere. When he comes back it will be obvious.

Opposing opinions
by GoUnion inany current or ex jw knows there is a lot of counsel against association with nice people that do not share your faith.
i think this is very damaging for personal growth, we never really can challenge our convictions, we become stunted in ability to reason and make personal decisions.
this is also why the organization has fought against "higher education" so hard.

I have lots of friends, both religious and not. Listen to what they say and analyse it carefully. Some are right and some wrong. Sometimes we both accept the same thing but don't realise it as we misunderstand what the other is saying. It all goes to make life more interesting.

Awful experience: I threw my WT library out!
by StephaneLaliberte inyes, i threw my wt library out: my recycle bin was full.
even if i had imagined this experience to be similar to a prisoner getting rid of his chains, this was not so.. instead, it brought up all the memories i had shared with my family where we were excited about the release of the revelation book; the clear feeling of ultimate knowledge when we showed the live forever book, the questions i had practiced with my family in the organized book, my cousins who got baptized as well.
somehow, all i could think of was only the good memories i had shared with my family and almost cried about it.. and then, i started to think of the division, the hatred and the pain that became prevalent in my family as some were disfellowshipped and thus, ostracized.

Your experience with the JW's has taken up a lot of your past life so the grieving process will take time, but will fade eventually. It's not easy. Make friends and try to fill your life with good experiences. Best wishes for the future.
