well in light of the 17 billion calls i got this week my wife and i decided to attend the meeting.
it was nuts!
we got love bombed right when we got there.
I can understand that the calls seem genuine and you made the effort because you got so many calls, but this love is all conditional. If they knew you were on this site you would be Df'd and all the love bombing would stop instantly.
Try not to fall prey to love bombing again, you family needs a clean break. You will all be able to move on quicker if you never go back again.

.. the new wbt$ donation arrangement/ jw kingdom hall bank account theft... is a very hot topic right now... the wbt$ is literally going to clean out kingdom hall bank accounts,filled with donations from jws... that theft is going to happen world wide..the wbt$ is going to steal from 7 million plus jw`s... .. we have jw elders here on jwn,that know whats going on... they "serve" in kingdom halls,they are "supposed" to be looking after the welfare of the average jw... they know there is a 4 page letter,only one page will be read to the congregation..the rest will be kept secret... they know the wbt$ is about to steal jw donations..on a world wide scale!!!...
.. i would like to know what you active jw elders are going to do about this??!!...
are you going to let "your" congregation know about the other 3 secret pages?...

I haven't ever seen this serious side to you. I can see that you really feel strongly about this and you expect serving elders to let the sheep know whats in the 4 page letter. I agree with you that bad things happen because good men do nothing, but I can also see the serving elders perspectives, they are trapped and if they are to carry on helping all they can do is leak info via the net.
If we think about it carefully most JWs who read all pages won't even wake up anyway. Just like you said about me trying to clear my name. It's a mission impossible OUTLAW, they won't listen anyway, they will just think it's from the GB and it's a good idea.

I am the saddo here. We always had family worship. We used to dress up, make things, draw and have lots of fun. It actually brings back fond memories. My son really loved them, my daughter just played along though.

for those who still believe in god, if local congregations could break away from the watchtower would you consider becoming a witness again.
this would mean no more governing body, circuit overseers, watchtower magazines, and each congregation could have its own "new light".
most of us left because of the control (no college, disfellowsipping) but if the watchtower was out of the picture, all of this would disappear.
If it was just a social club with no religious ties. I would, but then it wouldn't be a KH and the members wouldn't be JWs. It would be a social club. Space you are a nice guy, you seem to be torn in which direction to go right now. I hope this thread helps you make up your mind.

I am glad that the MEN covered the story, but I am appauled this "investigation" went on like this. In a court of law children would not be asked such questions when the CPS are investigating child molestation allegations.

we do about 2 bible studies a week.
I am glad to see you back. My mum and dad warned me when I was getting involved, I was young and in a new city, but I didn't listen. Take care, and don't stop asking questions. If you don't get a satisfctory answer from your teacher or JW at the KH, you may get one here on this site. Kate xx

Good for you. My parents are in their 70's, and their grandchildren get gifts often over the last 20 yrs. They have four. They were never JWs. This teaches children to save for their retirement and look after family. Well done.
When I joined WT my dad always said they were a cult and it was all about the money!

anyone else get the distinct impression that jws are being worked up into a frenzy with all the changes and activity nowadays?
by the end of august, there will have been four campaigns inside of a year.
one last november, a memorial campaign, a convention campaign and an advertise jw.org campaign.. then there's the conventions with all the hooplah around that with all the video, and the aggrandizement of synchronized gb talks.
Since I stepped down as an elder two years ago, I've had that time to study, and it TAKES that much time to study. My elder brother-in-law recently told me he has NO TIME for deep research like me.-leaving_quietly
I knew it I knew it I knew it, I always suspected I did more in depth study than many of the elders. I was talking to one the other day and I knew cherry picked scriptures better than him. To get RI'd you need to have a rainbow coloured WT all studied up and full researched, but the elders haven't got the time. It's ironic really cos the more we study the convoluted nonsense WT print, the more questions than anwers we get. And we all know you're not allowed to ask questions!!!!
I just knew it! Thankis for being honest about that. I love revelations like that.
