I was waiting for your self-disciplined response. I agree keeping in shape helps us to enjoy life better and avoid getting heart disease and diabetes. But do you think that some become overly involved in keeping in shape it is to their detriment?

DD, chill out go with the flow. Some people are excersisers and some start and stop. Concentrate on leaving the cult. Perhaps you can play sports on a saturday morning with your kid. I was doing that on Sundays with my son until my ex put a stop to it. We were playing squash and swimming instead of meetings.
But just chill out and relax. You don't have to be Dr McDreamy all your life, remember those girls in the gay bar, sounds like you still got it DD!

Thanks for your story, I have enjoyed getting to know you better. Your youngest is only 9 if she is a girlie girl she may enjoy dance classes, ballet, tap and jazz. My daughter did all that and loved doing shows and dressing up.
It could side track her from field service. I hope you can find a way to help her think critically or she could end up married to a JW and it is a sexist cult that degrades women and you don't want that for her. Although you work 12 hours a day, set aside time for the kids. Draw closer to them and you won't lose them to a cult.
I wish you all the best, but don't see your wife as the enemy she is only doing what she thinks is best for the kids, she is indoctrinated.

This is excellent advice, I am the same with my kids. They need to grow and explore themselves, WT inhibits growth and when children feel opressed they rebel. My son is forced to go with his dad and he is rebelious with his dad.

You are going through hell right now, and your hubby's head is messed up and indoctrinated too. But you must keep your child best interests first before your own and your hubby. Keep your child away from the atmosphere and keep things stable. If you can't do this whilst all in the same house you need to tell your hubby it's no good for your child and give him an opportunity to be a kind, loving man.
You may be right he could be absorbing all what you have told him and come to the realisation it's all nonsense, but to have a lifetime of belief taken from you it traumatic, it was for me when I realised it was nonsense. You also may be right that he thinks you're an evil apostate sent by Satan, and he should have listened to WT when they told him to "marry in the lord"
Take a few days to evaluate and keep us updated.
During this time, spend time shopping with your child, swimming, painting nails, going for a spa, fun girlie stuff.

Ok I have just called the Stockport and Warrington stores. They should be in next week. There have been lots of enquiries about them. I bet they will have sold out when I get there. You have actually sold me Coma.
We are going to Tenerife this summer and would be nice to see the fish and teach my 21yr old daughter all about God's aquatic creations LOL! I am not sure if she's turned atheist or not. She certainly doesn't believe god is benevolent, but the beauty and complexity of aquatic life may fill her with some spiritual awe.

I live in Liverpool, that's around 40 miles, a hour or so from Stockport. I don't really want a mask though, but you could pay my fuel costs if there are no JWNers from Manchester. Do you really want this mask right now and cannot wait for it to come to the US? Do you want it bad?

.. the new wbt$ donation arrangement/ jw kingdom hall bank account theft... is a very hot topic right now... the wbt$ is literally going to clean out kingdom hall bank accounts,filled with donations from jws... that theft is going to happen world wide..the wbt$ is going to steal from 7 million plus jw`s... .. we have jw elders here on jwn,that know whats going on... they "serve" in kingdom halls,they are "supposed" to be looking after the welfare of the average jw... they know there is a 4 page letter,only one page will be read to the congregation..the rest will be kept secret... they know the wbt$ is about to steal jw donations..on a world wide scale!!!...
.. i would like to know what you active jw elders are going to do about this??!!...
