We went to see it, we thought it was excellent. There was the right amount of action, comedy and romantic tension. I thought it would be too repetitive, but it was well balanced. Kate xx

The Rants of a Dumbass Elder Still Serving
by TTATTelder inok in the effort of full disclosure, i have had a couple of drinks and recently experienced a circuit assembly and a bad experience with a co.. i don't know where to effing begin.
first of all the circuit assembly was a joke.
half the assembly was about pioneering and selling your soul to be a no-pay salesman for the borg.

Only the most acerbic people will feel at home in WT Land.-ADCMS
I agree, that's my ex. Also really dumb fluffy sheep who live in lala land feel at home as they haven't got a clue what's going on around them. Many will feel overworked and unappreciated. They will feel dishearttened and taken advantage of. This I am sad to say, is the majority of JWs, that's why they have depression, ME, CFS and illnesses like this. The difference between you and them, TTATTelder, is that you know it's all nonesense.
It is in your best interests, and that of your family that you formulate some kind of exit plan. If you just stop going, come up with an appropriate phrase to deal with unwanted phonecalls and unexpected visits. If you are clever about it they will leave you alone within 6 months. JWN posters have recomended the following.
"I am having some personal problems and am taking the matter to Jehovah, I am unable to speak to you just now. Thank you for your concern I will ring you when I am feeling up to it"
You might get the odd call every 6 months aswell.
Alternatively you could write the BOE a letter about some doctrine you disagree with and the evidence to support this. Arrange to have a JC, record it and make sure it goes viral across the net. This is the activist option and will help many who are stuck in wanting to leave, and is cathartic to many.
What ever exit plan you decide on make sure you are in control. You will feel much better and confident in your decisions.
Take care TTATTelder

Congregation rebels!
by A.proclaimer inmy congregation got a reminder today to start donating money.
elder said that after the letter on the new donation arrangement was read, the contributions for that fund went from the average (i believe it was $500 or so) to $0.
after that reminder, cash was put into those boxes.

I don't think anyone mistakenly takes the WT for a charity-ADCMS
Lol! They are a registered charity. This is why JWs donate, they think it's a charity. Kate xx

I've seen this personally. No late fee, of course, but definitely a notice.-leaving_quietly
I must say I am not surprised, they are a business masquerading as a charity, to be fair I thought zoo's bill was real at first glance until I saw the late fee, and 144000 ref number lol!. Kate xx

For those who feel that their life has been stolen
by stillin inyou maintained a level of personal decency and integrity that you almost certainly would not have had if you had chosen another direction.. sure, you would have had some very "colorful" friends and experiences if you had gone another way, but you still chose the more "edgy" people in the congregation as your friends and you still enjoyed yourself, even if there were a lot of phony constraints.. you looked for ways to be of value to others.
don't stop doing that!.
you kept the darker side of your personality in check.

Magnum,
Thank you so much for your story. I really appreciated reading it. You are not painting a rosey picture you are being honest and that what I need. I am not much younger than you trying to build my life together and the full reality of the matter is, I may not be able to have back what I once achieved before the WT.
Thank you Magnum

.put it that way, it's almost like they don't want XJWs to come back-Vidiot
It depends on who your daddy is in the cong. Df'ing is a fear strategy used to keep the rest of the cong in line. Some get away with lots of unscriptural activity, but others do not. Kate xx

I love the fact that the GB is becoming more visible. Why? Think micro expressions.
by Island Man inmicro expressions are involuntary facial expressions lasting for half a second or less.
these facial expressions mirror a person's true emotions and so provide a window into a person's feelings in response to a statement or question.
particular facial expressions correspond to particular emotions and the mappings are universal across cultures.

Interesting video. For me it was great, ppl with AS find it hard to read body language full stop, this has really taught me a lot. Noe I need to know when it is a good idea or not to call out ppl on their nonsense. That's another problem, to know when to shut up or speak up.

I had not considered how that might happen.-stillin
I know that some JWs are just plodders and they just keep going and are better people for it. I know you see the positive things too, and it's good to have a positive view. I suppose my efforts in the FS and my success with getting studies was positive, these studies are very good friends of mine now I am out.
So I do see the positive if I try a little harder

Lol! This was so predictable. JWs will not stick to their pledge. WT will get some extra cash from this scheme though. Kate xx
