Thank you for your direct quote from Soai's paper. When I read the multiple links you've put up this abstract wasn't in any of them. Can you provide the link so I can check the credibility myself please. I appreciate you going back and getting it. I have also researched his paper myself using Google and I have never seen this abstract.
It's also confusing that you claim to understand the abstract but not my word salad. I use the same terms. I will explain though.

I came here three years ago for support and to make friends

this site is such a great and valuable resource and simon is to be commended for running it for so long.

when i first came i was in such a bad state and really needed support and friendship.

so many posters commented on my threads and showed genuine care some are real life friends, some are facebook friends, some i talk to on the phone and some are forum friends.. i have just realised though that everyone online is not your friend.

Thanks all of you for your support and advice all very different but I take it all on board. I feel much better today, after expressing my feelings and confronting things I feel this is now in the past, and consider it part of my deprogramming from my cult personality.

very long story.

i've been away from this site for a while.. basically, i tried to leave.

handed in my disassociation letter, it kicked up a storm and 2 weeks later i was disfellowshipped.

At one point I had 46 missed calls in a single day of different elders. I also received emails and texts imploring me to call them. I never did.- pale emperor.
This is extreme harassment I am not surprised you relented. But it's good you didn't capitulate during the JC. I can understand you wanting to see your precious daughter daily and have a normal relationship with her. The elders know now, and they're likely not stupid enough to think you can unring the bell.
I think if I could do it all again I would go back and be with my son and lie and smile and wave. As long as you're not trying to expose WT to the cong, or others you should be fine. This way as she gets older, you can get her to think for herself when you're alone with her, like I did with my son, and eventually you can leave together and she will never get baptised.
I think in time my daughter will be living with me anyway. My wife finds it hard looking after her on her own - where as i find it really enjoyable. - PE
Even better it it's permanent.

This may work for some and not for others. Consider carefully my advice and weigh the pro's and cons carefully. You know your family better than me and you now your ability to fake it better than me.
If you want to talk properly I am in the UK. You can call me, skype, whatsapp, or PM whatever is best for you. I messed up my whole family's life by leaving how I did, so if you can learn from my mistakes that would be great. Our situations are very similar.

I stand by the scientific accuracy of everything I have written in this thread regarding the purpose and implications of Soai's experiment. His work is one of the great achievements of science. It is sad that you have tried to discredit him for reasons of ideology. - cofty
That's because you're too narrow minded to consider the imbalance of enantionmers racemic mixtures where autocatalysis doesn't occur. It messes your phrase " Soai solved the puzzle"
I am discrediting you Cofty not Soai, you made up the reason for his research and development, he didn't write the paper to solve the puzzle of homochirality. Go back and read through the paper again properly without bias this time and quote directly what he states the reason for the research. He collaborated with other chemists too. It's easy to find, you just need to be more open minded when you read the facts.
