When he told you he was molested, was it before or after the silentlambs cases were exposed? The reason I ask is because if it were before, I would personally tend to believe him. If it was after, based upon other behaviors you've cited, I might be suspicious he could be "jumping on the bandwagon" for attention that he may have felt he wasn't getting or hadn't gotten at some point in his life. This isn't to say that he definitely was lying or telling the truth in either instance, however, it might be something to take into consideration, since depression manifests itself in so many different ways. It could have been his way of crying for help in hopes of filling a void that he needed filled at that time, or it could have been real. Either way, I think it would be good for BOTH of you to try to track him down to see how he is doing. As Heather said, even if he tells you where you can go, at least you will know that he is okay and you can relieve your own conscience - 'cuz I know you're beating yourself up over this. Even if you can't bring yourself to look him up, just know that it is normal and healthy to set boundaries with other people. If the lying was more than you could handle, you are no different than 99.99% of the population, and drawing the line with him was NOT wrong. It's okay to put your foot down, and normal to want to walk away from someone who can't be trusted.

I wish someone who could get access in there could go in and post the criteria for joining the UN, and how the library excuse is so lame because the same information can be gotten from public libraries designated as UN Depositories - without joining as an NGO. A nice little example of the articles they printed and disseminated to the masses would help, too. Anyone out there that can do this?

It's important to share that NGO's are part of the UN Department of Information. And the purpose of the Department of Information is to disseminate UN propaganda. It only makes sense that the only way an organization can be approved for NGO status is if they agree to also disseminate propaganda. It also makes sense that the DPI wants NGO's who are large and have the capability to disseminate UN information to it's member base, through either the written word (aka: Watchtower and Awake!), or another form of media.

i like many young non-jws i have meet a jw and fell in love,but i think what me different from the rest is i feel special.
i feel like i have been waiting like this all life from the time i was a kid to know, not a very good description, but i do feel that i a situation where i could win her, i feel that the starts are aligned for this.
i know that there are 5 weekly meetings, but can anybody describe them, and also the district assembly or something like takes place a couple times a year ?

i am starting a new series called the governing buzzards ... it will feature bazaar, twisted, foolish, and strange teachings and policies of the watchtower organization.
anything from how they try to make themselves look really good ... to how they really appear when the sheeps clothing is removed ... ... yes, thre will be some embarassing moments for them ... ... and ... some shocking revelations ... but mostly, the governing buzzards will just appear ridiculus ... .i hope to make you laugh ... ... and maybe get mad but at the end of the day, relax and enjoy life ... ... some of this might even make you a little sick ... but ... i will try hard not to put you to sleep.
... perhaps parts of this series will make you think ... but, to the watchtower buzzards monitoring this board, you need to know that being an ex-jw apostate, ex-anointed is: ... because we no longer go door-to-door like suited robots ... no more silly, boring, never ending meetings ... ... and we have learned that we are not weeping and gnashing our teeth ... but instead we are doing great !!!

not sure if this was already covered but i wanted to ask anyways.. i just heard about 20 minutes ago that this man thinks he is innocent because he "hypnotised" him and when people are hypnotised can't lie and they always tell the truth, and micheal said that nothing had happend that day, and they asked about something else to but i forget what it was for, something about why did he pay?
lol i cant remember.
i think it's alot of crap, i dont think he was hypnotised but i wasnt there so i wouldnt know!

they are having a discussion because someone during door-to-door service confronted them with the un letter.
