hi, my apostate friends.. a couple of weeks ago i asked for some advice regarding studying methods.
then some of you asked me to let you know my score after i take the exam at mineralogy.. i scored 90%.
i'm pretty happy with it because the exams i take are not in my native language.. if i keep up with the good scores i might get a scholarship and then bye bye watchtower society.

we are splattering this petition all over the world.
please, even if you feel it will do no good, take a moment and sign.. .
Right now, we do not believe that the Elders ever intended to help us at all — the vote of the congregation notwithstanding. We believe that the original statements were given to placate us; that they always intended to do what they wanted no matter what. They are the first of any religion that we have met who have lied to us… a very, very sorry statement to write. We do not find them Good Neighbors.
This is sad. When you are disabled, helpless in some ways, and get treated like this, it makes one feel less than a piece of dog poo on someone's shoe.
I hope lots of people sign, if only to let them know that people DO care.

this week's study april 15th 2014 was called "do you see the one who is invisible?".
it was perhaps one of the most depressing, controlling, fear-mongering, stress inducing, doctrinally incorrect, hate-inspiring, judgemental, cult-like, irrational, hyped-up, critical, crazy, stretched out, fanciful, illogical, burdensome, inflated, coersive, manipulative, and brain-snappingly weird stuff i have read for some time.... (but i'm sure it was just a rehash and repeat of previous stuff...for the new masses....).
i had to keep up a sane appearance while in the hall, and even answer some garbage while this was being 'studied'... my cognitive disonance must be so strong now, because i found this one of the hardest ones to endure....now that i am home, i have poured a stiff drink and am trying to clear my head...... one paragraph was classic:.
HeyThere, good idea, you have a PM It's very late here, shoot me one back and I'll get it tomorrow. :)
i am, and my wife never believed me that a sudden bright light can make me sneeze.
apparently a third of humans are photic sneezers.
although the exact mechanism isn't fully understood it may be that a strong signal in the optic nerve can stimulte a nearby branch of the trigeminal nerve.. its time to come out the closet and be proud of your crossed wires.. ....
Does it make you sneeze many times in a row? Maybe 10 or 12, all short, then one big one. Then *poof* it's over.
That is what happens to me.
It happened when I was pregnant, too. A lot.
I wonder if the two are related? Though the latter would seem to perhaps be hormonal (that is just my conjecture based on anecdotal evidence J/K *grin*).

the very first sentence of the topic "inspiration" at "insight on the scriptures" volume 1, page 1202 reads:.
"the quality or state of being moved by or produced under the direction of a spirit from a superhuman source.".
is it defining "inspiration" as a "quality or state"?.
well i joined two dating sites yesterday and i have had lots of messages.
a couple of guys want to chat to me by phone to get to know me better.
i've been asked out on two dates.
I was considering POF or some other free site, but I hesitate.
Before internet dating, there were newspaper ads, similar set up. You registered, and contact was by phone. So, I took a chance and replied to a message. He lived an hour's drive away, and we arranged to meet for coffee downtown, in a neutral location.
Well, he did lie about his looks (ack), but I was willing to overlook that. Once the conversation got started, though, it didn't take long before I was thinking "Oy, glad this is a public place and I can ditch him". About 10 minutes into it, he mentioned that he was still recovering from his last relationship,,,,, with a 17 YO girl! This guy was early 30s.
I, being the shy and retiring type I am, took the opportunity to 'educate' him on the creepiness of 30-something men dating 17 YO girls, told him I was gong to the ladies', and made the dash.
I dunno, maybe I'll give it a whirl. I've been single far too long, and there could be someone who wants a gimpy, ex-fashion victim who is still holding up pretty good in spite of it all. :P

hye folks-just wanted some info.
is wearing a wire to a jc or any other meeting an easy-to-do thing.
how do you go about trying to find to an agency that hires out equipment?
PS. There are different rules for the Police - they are 'intercepting' calls, and have stricter guidelines.
(But in reality, we know that Big Brother can, of course, with the new anti-terrorism laws, listen in any time he wants, and we have no say in the matter.)

Found this, and the url seems to be a legit legal resource. There's more detail, of course, but I excerpted one of the introductory paras.
url: http://www.legaltree.ca/node/908
The Criminal Code, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-46 [Criminal Code] imposes a general prohibition on interception (recording) of private communications, but then provides an exception where one of the parties to the private communication consents to the interception of that communication. Thus, broadly speaking, Canadians can legally record their own conversations with other people, but not other peoples' conversations that they are not involved in.
[bold and underlining are mine]

BerryGerry,
Nope. I'm no lawyer, but I wouldn't say it if I wasn't sure.
If you and I are talking on the phone, I can tape it without letting you know.
But don't take my word for it. Never take anyone's word for anything, especially online, that's my motto. I'll see if I can find it in the gov't websites (oy, if I go missing, come looking! hehe) and get the proof, no prob.
:)

PS. Berry, hmmm.... I won't ask any questions, but I'm from the Maritimes. :)
i have a sweet jw friend.
she is elderly and had heart problems and is hard of hearing.. she is a tiny thing and very loving.
she is a convert and had been "in" for around 20 years.. she came "in "after her divorce.. we started hanging out together a couple years ago when i called her for a ride to the meetings.. .
How great is that? It's the perfect friendship, which meets the needs of both ...... you 'get' each other. She doesn't have to spend her last years in misery in the Kingdom Hall, and you both have each other to enjoy these times with.
sounds lovely! :)
