  JW Children and Immunizations

  well the not-so-little baby (19 mos) got his next round of shots last night, 5 in all.

  he was rightfully indignant, and let the nurse know it.. i mentioned it to my dad in passing, and he was saying that another family member doesn't allow any immunizations of their child.. this person is a df'd-jw hater, and yet the some of the brainwashing has hung on.

  now, all 3 of us children are immunized, but i can't discount the brainwashing that the medical establishment has taken at the hands of the wbts.

  The assertion by the WT in1931 that no-ne could prove diseases were caused by 'germs' and that vaccinations were wrong is irresponsible.

  I read that in states where vaccinations were compulsory, some Witless parents would actually make a fake vaccination scar on their child to evade it.

  They only benefited because the majority were law-abiding, and therefore contributed to the eradication of crippling and fatal illnesses.

  I am not criticising anyone's decision on this, but you are only able to choose against the jabs because most parents do get their kids vaccinated.

  If it were the other way round, I think you would, rather than risking deafness, blindness, paralysis or death as was the case even into the 1950s.

  A lot of these diseases will kill and maim adults too. We don't realise how lucky we are to live in "this time of the end..."

  the circuit overseer will discuss "helping others to serve jehovah with a delightful soul.

  "interviews will highlight the joy that results from cultivating interest and conducting bible studies with people who want to serve jehovah.. all in attendance will no doubt derive comfort and encouragement from the visiting speaker's first talk,"guarding our hearts in a troubled world".. in the afternoon,the part"extending a helping hand"will consider how we can assist others.what can parents do to shield their children's hearts from wrong influences and help them draw close to jehovah?.

  Blasphemy

  i was asked how come the bible says that god forgives blasphemy to the father and the son, but not the holy spirit.

  if they all are god, what makes the person of the holy spirit more important regarding blasphemy than the father or the son.

  sorry, i don't know much about the bible, but i'm trying to learn here, alright?

  There does not even seem to have been a consensus among Christians from the word GO either, never mind modern scholars.

  Paul vs Jerusalem, Paul vs Simon Peter, Apollos vs Paul, the sect of Nicolaius, Athanasius vs Arius, Greek vs Roman Church, then the reformation where apostates and heretics flourished. (What? Protestantism is in line with God's will?) Apostates all!! Are you a protestant apostasising? Are you an ex JW? Are you ex RC? What's the difference.

  There is no consensus either among Christians or scholars, except when it suits them. You just pick the sect or cult that suits the way you choose to see things. And don't say your particular view is backed up in the Babble, cause they all do too...

  They are all charlatans and gangsters.

  doesnt it seem that the people who have been out of the jws for a while have, for the most part, divided into two political parties?

  we have the group who is pro-trying-to-bringing-down-the-wt and the group that is anti-trying-to-bring-down-the wt.

  of course we have a bunch of independents, too.

  Of course this world will have divisions like the real world.

  We were only unified as witlessness because it was imposed from the top and we learned how to thought-stop. Since we are no longer controlled on every detail of course conflicts will come through.

  this is healthy.

  Even early Christianity was divided and torn apart by controversy. Ain't nuthin' new.

  We all hate this filth, but are you aware that in some states and certain countries even visiting such a site is ILLEGAL? So if you visited the site (UK residents note too), you can expect a knock on the door from federal agents when they get to your internet address in an investigation. Remember just a click transfers your details to every site visited.

  does anyone have any info on how to go about doing this?

  i don't own a home or anything much, nor any type of huge estate with precious valuables.

  i have no idea of the cost or the process.

  If you die intestate, a lot of what is left goes on lawyers' fees, deciding who what how much etc..

  I made a will when I was diagnosed with my heart condition. Left everything to my non JW sibling.

  I should be delighted to have the opportunity to steal a million from WBTS.

  They stole half my life, and a proper career. Then I would use the money like Jesus - maybe pay for clean water for kids in Africa (rather than yet another BEFFEL) whatever; just helping in a practical way.

  Anyway - are we not entitled to be forgiven 77 x 7. Surely the Witlessness wd forgive my first sin against them?

  All the other thefts would have a negative impact on someone so I would not do them.

  Since the WBTS claims to be a future Government, why don't they release documents after fifty years like everyone else?

  After all if what the apostates say is not true, why not let everyone see it for themselves on a website of unedited texts?

  I remember when I wanted a WT from 1920 - the only section missing in our extensive KH library. The PO said they were told to send that volume back to Bethel years ago. I asked could I write for a photocopy of the article I wanted (the 1919 resurrection ) he said that the policy was that all current literature was enough for anyone to gain spiritual maturity.

  Can any one post the page in the WT of '16 '17, where they suggested buying war bonds, or the page where readers were encouraged to pray for victory?

  According to the will of Russell, to be a member of the "GB" one had to agree with truth as presented in the Watch Tower. When most of the committee disagreed with these two suggestions they were ousted over a technicality, that had very little legal basis. They only declined to fight in court because of the scripture that says one should not go to law with a brother. (But that is a digression ) CAN ANY ONE POST THE QUOTES?

  all the witnesses hope for the end of the world as we know it, and how they will clean up the earth.

  i wonder if they really consider the magnitude of what that would involve.. some of them talk about taking over someone else's house.

  let's take that alone for an example.. they would walk up to a house that they like, and have to claim it for themselves.
