  Brother Kavelin injured in Santa Monica?

  it may or may not be true but it is making the rounds in dubdom.. here ya go.... just a quick note to let you know that out of the 9 dead and some .

  injured in the run away car incident at the farmer's market in santa.

  Oh my God . . . first the runaway car at the convention a couple of months ago, and now Brother Kavelin in Santa Monica. Pretty soon they will realize that Satan and His Demons (tm) are possessing automobiles in an attempt to destroy Jehovah's People! Seriously, after the convention incident, my mother-in-law said "Satan is really having a heyday with the Friends." Get ready for bicycle groups in field service!

  i used to be a ms and stepped aside because i could not stand the wrong teachings (chronology, annointed etc.

  ) and the high pressure they worked unto people anymore.

  when i stepped aside i also stopped going to the meetings and doing field service.. on the other hand, when i was in i was always longing for "privileges".

  well i dont think that power would have kept me in but possibly trying to change things from the inside might have. i know other elders who have left and some get sick of the wrong things that are ordered from above and others do stay in to try to change what they can, or at least try to be there for those friends who truely need them. prolly will be kicked out eventually when they dont aquesce to the borgs orders but everyone has to make up there own mind on there course. i just dont think the power thing would keep people there but i do know a few brothers who well frankly are a$$holes and you can tell there in it for the power but i think thats a minority........ at least in my own ignorance i prefer to think its so. when i was active i did the extra things to help the brothers and sisters and to hopefully serve jah, but i will admit that i hoped that my actions would make sisters notice me lol.... but that wasnt why i did it. the last few years i wanted to run the roveing mikes just so i could stay awake zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  Do JW couples really have better relationships?

  are jw marriages any better than the ones 'in the world' as they put it?

  when they walk from door to door or mingle after a meeting they appear to be models of ideal marriages.

  do you have any experiences with married couples in the 'truth'?

  i think that for the most part marriage is the same regardless and that witness couples dont have a magic cureall for problems. when you think about it tho, if they follow most of what the borg teaches they will have a better shot at staying together simply because most of what the borg teaches about marriage is wholesome. the fact that its serious, the fact that communication is vital, the fact that it should be a partnership with each careing for the others needs ahead of there own. i think alot of the problems with witness marriages does come from marrying to young for sex or from the husband not makeing proper use of the headship arraingement and being a damned tyrant. thing is there are many other books and such on marriage that preach many of the same things the borg does and its pretty obvious that if you dont communicate then your SOL marrige wise. the fact that those outside of the borg have no compuctions about being sexually active before marriage and possibly living together can be argued as either a disadvantage or a better opportunity to see if you can stand them for prolonged periods of time. basicly does being a JW mean an easy time of it............. hell no

  reading the thred on vasectomy got me musing; if we were put on earth to populate it, and given sex organs purely for this purpose, what about all the jw's who 'sacrifice' having a family so they can 'do more' in the service.

  would it not be improper to use your sex organs purely for pleasure, or do they give up having sex as well?
