Just spoke w/ Elders Pls Help

i just got a call from an elder from my old kh, i have not been to meeitngs since april 2007. i recently took my daughter to thier first b-day party, (their cousin), anyways, they want to ask if i celebrate b-day now.

i told them i'd speak with them later.

so, since i ahve been inactive since april can they df me?????

like i tell everyone....... they have to have two witnesses proveing that you did anything.

really tho if they want you out they will get you out. so deny deny deny.

claim that you were invited to a family gathering and didnt realize it was a bd party. you turned the kids loose to go have fun with their cousins and you stayed in the main house with your family.

if you want a fight or want to be dfed then call them out and ask where the scriptures are supporting not haveing birthday parties. then they will mark you automaticly as being arguemenative and point out where john lost his head and back in egypt where the cupbearer (or was it the damn baker) got killed both on birthdays.................. then you can point out...... so it was a common thing for jews to celebrate their birthdays then wasnt it........ have you ever heard of a barmitzvah.... jesus was a jew........... so he celebrated his birthday as was the custom correct? so the things that my savior did............ am i not supposed to look at them as an example and strive to be more christlike?

lol see how long into that it takes before their dub sheilds go down and nothing you say penetrates. prolly 30 seconds in

spawns a good idea tho.................... lets start a movement that makes jackolanterns and puts them on the doorsteps of elders on halloween night next to a basket of cheap as hell crappy candy and slide a couple watctowers in the basket lol....................... imagine what they would think the next day or if someone was pissed enough to trick their house or mad enough to ring the door bell and bitch at them for the crap they pulling with the nasty candy................... or when the basket went empty lol

anyone remember when, after the okc bombing, the rooms that we had reserved months in advance were not gonna be available since all those government investigators were now taking up virtually all the rooms there.

what are they gonna do......... check out so we can be indoctrinated?

i know so many people who were pissed because they had booked the best places early.......... then had to settle for a crappy place................ apparetly they didnt give a hoot about those who died in the bombing.

guess their thoughts were most of them were gonna die in armagedon anyways........ idiots

New RBC arrangements/directives

i joined awhile back and haven't posted much - just lurking like many others.

for the past year or so i have been trying my best to fade away sooner rather than later, but the wife and most of our family have decades of involvement in this mess and well, it's difficult.

little by little i have been sowing seeds of doubt and it does seem to be working somewhat.

i have built so damn many kingdom halls its crazy............ and i would LOVE to say this was all bull. and 5 years ago i would be argueing untill i was blue in the face.......... well maybe 6 years ago lol.

i have a FACT to share..........

when you want to do anything to a hall.......... first step is mandatory to speak with the RBC..............

i know a dude whos job it is to convince the hall that they need to sell their hall and build a new one.

he straight out admits it.............. now he will sling alot of bullS*** regarding this.

he will try to convince the body that it makes the best sense.............. why, oh he has a damn long list.

first he will say that appreciation since the hall was built would make them a good bit of money.

then he will say you just have to buy the land and building materials........ because of course the labor is free.

so he will say you spent 100k for your old hall............... which you can sell for 300k.......... and spend another 100k or less for new land.......... build a hall worth 600k for just a small percentage of that taken out as a loan from the society............... then when you sell the next one.......... bigger profit.

then he will tell them that a new hall will require much less matinace than the old one they want to remodel.

so............. they are gonna make money.............. but still spend more than they owe......... WTH

who they gonna be makeing that profit for?

the hall i grew up in had a loan from the society for like 60k with a payment of like 300 a month............

they wanted to remodel it......... but the RBC wanted them to sell and rebuild, because its to much of a pain to remodel and a new hall would be much nicer and be a good example for the community. blah blah blah........

fact is they wanted this little cong to cough up more than 1000 a month for this new hall............. when they were accustomed to paying 300................. needless to say they are useing a hall thats like 15 yrs old with orginal carpet............

so all these facts make damn good sense to me now

hi, i've been lurking on here for a few days but i have a burning question that needs to be answered so i'm outing myself... .

i'm a non-jw (non-christian, in fact) and i've been in a relationship with a jw for the last five years.

we're both pretty young (early 20s) and he still lives at home with his devoutly jw family.

what your getting right now has a term applied to it....... LOVEBOMBING......... they think they can shower you with love and then get you to convert........... THATS when the judgeing starts and you will see the coldness whether its from his family or the congregation. he could have a cool as hell family that isnt strict........ as long as you dont get baptised they cant shun you. so dont study with them or get baptised and you should be ok.

problem is............ how serious is your jw bf......... cause if he still belives it is the "truth" then you will certainly be in for a rough ride.

do a wide search for what jws do and take things with a grain of salt. every congregation is different and some of them were actually ok......... except for the fact they are all based on lies and manipulation.

Am I In A Judicial Loophole? - advice please....

i hope everyone is doing well.. .

is there anyone out there well-versed in the 'shepherd' book and judicial proceedings?.

a wee bit o' background..... i have been 'out' for about 3 years now.

dude they need two witnesses to supposed unchristian conduct. have your parents SEEN any? if your telling them what your doing....... make up your mind what you want to happen.

if you want to keep them in your life the QUIT TELLING THEM anything they can use against you. deny deny deny. or make a clean break. that is something that is entirely up to you. if your out of state and have no plans to return(like myself) then it dosent matter what you do. if you, on the other hand, will be returning and dont want to have the df stigma then make up your mind accordingly.

facts are.......... the elders can disfellowship you for any reason, real or made up. they will need two witnesses to say they saw it, and you do not have to be there. they will write you a damn letter and who cares where they send it. many people here have gotten just such a letter and trashed it........... made no contact with the elders and were still dfed.

this is not a democracy where you are owed your day in court.................... its a kangaroo court and they will do whatever the hell they want to.
