  Your Opinion: Worst action/aspect of WTBS?

  so i'm curious to get your opinions.

  in your minds what is the worst part of the wtbs?

  the abuse issue, money, false teachings/doctrines, control?

  personally for me its the Lies.

  anyone can get something wrong and when they do, i will totally respect them if they hurry to fix the error by admiting they had it wrong.

  no religion gets it right 100% of the time but the good ones will be QUICK to admit a mistake after investigateing. they will make a statement and correct the wrong as best they can.

  the wt uses quotes from scholars since they dont have any proper qualified individuals with scholar credentials amongst themselves............... but they purposely misquote the scholar.

  you can read the article they quote from............ and its obvious that by the end of the scholar in questions comments that he belives the exact opposite and has made that case.

  any religion that is based solidly on lies........... is made up of liars. nothing they say can be trusted to be 100% pure. nor can anything they say be trusted to be for your benefit.............. if they outright lied then its for THEIR benefit.

  Well i finally did it.........i got my nose pierced, and it felt soooo good

  i also got my ears pierced again, so now i have three on one side and four on the other.. i just wanted to share that with you all..

  how about those damn awefull "chicken sandwiches".......... damn things were a cold peice of chicken, aka, leg or thigh........ on two pieces of white bread. when i mean cold i mean cold as the grave in siberia.

  when i worked in the food prep and food stalls (for lack of a better term) i always snagged a good sandwich and a pudding for myself at the beginning of lunch lol....... other wise it was cold chicken........... or if you were lucky a soggy po-boy

  last dc i was assigned to was in tulsa.......... got family there so i got to stay with them. grandmas cookin ........... hella better than anything at the dcs lol

  in fact ima gonna go visit her this thanksgiving lol

  it is not actually a dfing offense.

  it may be "looked down upon" but can you be df'ed?

  ive seen that happen more times than i can count..........

  they can use you to try and get back at someone they dont like, by slinging mud on your name which would translate to father mother sister brother....... whoever...... even friends.

  extreme case i know but arent these socalled men of faith.......... appointed by holy spirit?

  Step-Daughter Farks up Halloween.....

  i finally get the wife to promise and dress up in costume to take our 3y/o out trick or treating with us!

  i won right?

  my wife spends hours getting ready, we blow off the dub school for the night, it's dark and our daughter is in her princess dress,..... .

  James Olson Killed Himself Today!

  it was october 31, 1973 james olson jumped out of building 4 at brooklyn bethel.. i along with many others back there...help kill him.

  i'm not proud of it....i was part of the problem...the lack of love as it were.

  i posted the story on "my bethel experience part 19".

  i knew a young brother who shot himself because he watched "the lawnmower man" a R rated movie and was consumed by guilt, and typical depression from being in such a cult............. damn shame

  Complete strangers with no publisher record card, no congregation file, no association with any congregation and not claiming to be an active JW will not be hunted down and disfellowshipped.

  You sure speak in absolutes for someone who's obviously been away a long time.

  There are some of us who are still in who know the scoop.

  true enough...........for the most part. the local cong has no knowledge so why would they bother? fact...... they wouldnt, the socety keeps them swamped with enough work to keep them from thinking for themselves anyway... 5 meetings a week 4 magazines a month plus the other publications and service and and and...........

  problem is......... if they think you are a threat then depends on your BOE because i have seen witch hunts happen to many times. it will have to start with the congregation where your card is............. they could be contacted by a local congregation and that could start it ....... or the parents can contact their elders and they can contact the nearest cong with personal info obtained from the parents...........

  depends if your from a small cong where they have alot of elders.............. so they need something to do... or if your from the cong of 200 with 5 elders who are running their butts off.

  keep quiet...... admit NOTHING............ try and live your life.

  my dad is the PO of a neighboring congregation. he left the cong we grew up in because "the need was greater" he knows i go to church, and he is doing nothing. if he was PO in the other cong........... dont know what he would be forced to do.

  i have a problem you may all be able explain to me.. why do so many posters argue posts made by people still active in the 'truth' who still know exactly what's happening right now?.

  it makes no sense.. those of us that are still attending, some in high positions, are often times challenged as to our information.. i had a big fight a long while way back about the society banning watchtower symbols on khs (which they did).

  i read the official wt letter but some posters jumped on me that it was not true.

  prolly so when the tower sells the property and someone opens up a house of ill repute............. it wont have the wt symbol for all to see......... tho prolly would drum up attendance at their meetings lol
