i have to agree depending on how close you are to her as a friend. if you are tight and talk alot and you couldnt lose her friendship......... treat her like a brother...... tell her shes like a sister to you. then stroke her ego and tell her shes very pretty but beyond that she has a great personality and thats what will make a decent fellow look at her.
encouraging her to get back out there and start dating, going to the gym to feel better about herself........... yeah that might work. i do think it depends on your approach mostly.

hi guys and gals... you've probably read my earlier post regarding the prodigal son question and how the jc sent me packing... well, after talking with a good friend of mine i decided to move a new cong.
where the elders have known me for many years and actually appreciate me as a person... at first i was planning on handing this letter in person so i went but their meeting time had changed so i called one of the elders in my reinstatement jc and asked him for the meeting days but he said 'it would be better if i mailed it' to which i replied 'do you just not want me around your congregation, is that it?
he said again it would just be better to mail it again and left it at that.
that is a powerful reason bro, thats how they control the masses.............. do what we say or we will cut you off from your family.
my opinion be glad your out cause you will at least have a chance at a normal life with your wife and son.............
the letter has some good points in it, i will say i liked it. will the elders buy it? you can have actually HAD that experince where god told you it was ok........... hell jesus could have appeard to you and given you a hand written in his blood letter telling the elders to let you back in............ and they still wouldnt do anything for you.
it wasnt a kiss ass letter but you were giving god more authority than the elders........... that never leads to good places with them. your saying god forgave you and motivated you to do better.......... well mister god wasnt at your JC was he. if he was then it wouldnt have been a JC it would have been a personal meeting to try and help you. thats what REAL churches do for their people........ and even people off the streets.

FKer deserves being called out but you play it like oh its just a missunderstanding....... nice.
it certainly has to suck being forced to jump through hoops, trying to sound properly repentant but not desperate. giving god some credit and showing remorse to them while somehow not pointing out what dicks they are............ and while doing all this somehow conveying that you reconize their highest authority.............. dang i just dont think its worth it............. but then again i only have a mother, father, sister, bro in law, and grandmother in that cult............. and my grandmother will never shun me......... and i got loads of so called worldly family that loves me.... i dont know what your family situation is............... so all i can say is...........

well i was listening to the news this morning and they were talking about lent starting ash wednesday the 25th , i believe.
they talked about how on lent you are suppose to give up something you like or crave.. .
