i remember being a jw lad (about 10 or 11 years old).

i would be at the circuit assembly and, at around 10:45 am, about 8 brothers would get up, walk slowly up the aisle, glancing at each row of their "section", their lips quivering as they silently count each person, trying to maintain focus as nearly each jw makes eye contact them (even though everyone knew what the attendants were doing!

did i want to grow up to be the president of the united states?

hahhhaha ohhhh yeah........... i had the licence to chill ........... in the hallways during the session. it was emblazoned in white ATTENDANT. it was always a fun gig.......... except for parking lot duty at the district where we always had our conventions in july when it is blazing hot hundred degree weather. ive been an attendant, counting........... had my own section . the section i kept getting tho was always a part of the section reserved for older ones and the ones assisting them........... so i would sit at the top of the section in the place best suited for being able to see the entire section for the count. i had another brother asssisting me in the count and lets see i was like 28ish and he was prolly 21, both of us looking much younger lol so i got prolly twenty or so "attendants" bitching about me siting in the section reserved for older ones............ so i quit answering them when they tried to chastise me for it........... and i would calmly reach for my jacket....... put it on slowly.............. this of course would piss them off cause they would automaticly think i was questioning there authority hehehheh........ then i would turn towards them and my attendant badge would show.......... and some would then gripe at me for thinking that gave me the right to sit anywhere or behave however i wanted to lol........... and i would calmly say.................. do you have a section to count brother............. well im sitting in mine.......... why arent you in yours? lol nazis. ive been in security, ive been the watchman, ive been the guard to the administration and accounting rooms............ btw anyone that acted like they belonged got in lol cuz i didnt care unless they tried to walk out with money bags lol............ then id just want my cut lol jk. i've followed suspicious looking people..... ive had to tell sisters that they couldnt bring in a stroller or icechest. told kids they couldnt play on the escillators or to stop running lol. ive assisted at quick builds and helped run the sandwich assembly line or the food stands. i never was the a$$hole that other attendants were tho lol. ive blocked off the convention center when a child dissappeared............ which i was proud of.............. untill i found out i was protecting child molesters in the flock i did think tho that there was one job i shoulda tried for.................. baptism assistant lol that way i could get wet with all the new hot sisters hehehehe but tho im lame................ i never sunk to that level lol. and now apparently never will lol. being an attendant was fun tho lol where else can you stand in the hallway with someone during the session and talk about cars guns or women lol and be thought a good solid brother lol. if i were to shave off my goatee............. and walk into an assembly i bet ya fifty bucks i would have someone asking me where i was working and when i said no where they would say........... well you are now lol. so i stay away from them like the plauge lol.

oh yeah i got them and i deserved every single one of them pretty much......... and many many more besides that they didnt find out about. it wasnt a regular thing and mostly the threat of one would get me to straighten up and act right........ at least for a while. only once did i get a real beating and that was because i didnt realize how pissed my dad was so thinking i hadnt done anything wrong i just got up like an adult and went to do what he wanted me to do nonchalently................ wrong move. it just was like pouring gas on a fire and he took a broom handle to me...... and i seriously had bruises for weeks over that. that was the only one that i didnt deserve tho cause if a kid dont know why there being whipped................. they what the hell good is it gonna do as they wont learn anything from it. now my mom made the mistake of saying ....... you just wait till your father gets home....... so she lost respect points over that one. i got very few whippings from her and they didnt hurt. dads never hurt badly except for the one time. id get five to fifteen swats with a belt or switch and that would sufficently adjust my attitude to suit him i guess. i was good enough at makeing myself scarece when i had pissed him off or disapointed him some how so that kept me in the "out of sight out of mind class". my sister on the other hand got very few whippings since to talk to her would bring her to tears over whatever. i personally have no problem spanking a kid........ if thats what it is..... three to five swats and in ten minutes the pain is gone but hopefully the lesson is intact. anyone who thinks thats the only way to punish is not very creative. ive been talked to and ive been grounded and ive had stuff taken away before................... so it all works at different times and in different situations. IMHO of course

would you attend the funeral/memorial service?

assuming that it would be held in a kh; or even if it wasn't.. this is something that's been on my mind lately; honestly, i'm not sure why.

my parents are both still relatively young; 60 and 61. my dad has been diagnosed with skin cancer but both are otherwise healthy.. i really don't know whether i would; particularly for my father.

i definately would go and id show my respects............ and let them see how happy i am to be outside the borg......... and if the services got long winded and oh praise jah and the all holy wtbts......... protector of child molesters and money whore............ id take out a flask of good single malt and pass it down any body wanna drink

i've watched a little bit of mtv lately and it's been absolutely bugging the crap out of me as i watch these inane music videos: men can be physically unattractive but still talented musically and get recognition, not the same for women!

they have to be perfect looking in every way on top of being able to at least carry a tune.

i'm sick of watching beyonce writhe and christina strut around half naked.

ok check it........... JEWEL............ when she first came around she was very different and IMHO a fresh singer who was cute and had a very nice voice. she had lyrics that were entertaining and actually meant something. completely unlike OOPS I DID IT AGAIN lol which is drivel at its suggary popish height. now what have they done to her tho................ her music i still like but they turned her from a lady that i admired for intellectual songs and being different to a christina wanna be. people keep saying what a tremendous makeover she had........ unfortunately i think its in the wrong direction lol but i bet she sells more cds now than she did before on her own merits. i just hope it was her own choice and not some blood sucking record exec pimping her bottom for a better bottomline.
