  a few years back, one guy (xjw) informed the police of their meeting place.

  it was raided,the bros were fined and a few jailed.

  first off...................... what holy spirit?

  it is OBVIOUS that when elders are appointed they are not done so by the HS they are appointed by men who cant find their ass with both hands. if hs was even involved then before someone did something truely horrible....... like df someone for PERSONAL reasons....... they would be forced to resign as an elder. instead they run their eldership however they want.

  secondly.............. how would they know who turned them in...... was it in the police report?

  thirdly......... elders can do whatever the hell they want. we have to many examples here for us to ignore the facts. if an elder has something against you personally....... then they can sway the body. regardless of guilt or innocence, fact or fiction.

  so he musta been doing some serious butt kissing in order to get back inside. musta pulled out all the stops and said he was sorely mislead or someone else took what he said out of context or some way to downplay any involvement. say he was studying with someone and they ratted him out not him directly.

  hell he could say he was possesed and ask for someone to study with him to help drive the devil out of him lol.

  forties suits with handpainted ties.

  fifties/sixties sharkskin "rat pack" suits with the skinniest ties i could get away with, etc.,

  nope my style of dress fit in quite nicely. boreing monocromatic junk.

  if you wore anything even barely wild you wouldnt get used in the congregation...... still got screwed over tho.

  if your hair was even the slightest bit long....... or stylish, if you wore anything with lots of colors in it........... called fadish and of the world............ pretty sad really

  i just attended a meeting this morning recruiting law students to study for six weeks at cambridge during the summer of '08.

  the price is somewhere around $5,000, which includes tuition, room and board, and excursions.

  boy, sure sounds tempting right now.

  Empty nest syndrome, youngest son has plans to move out.

  feeling very sad as my youngest son is making plans to move out by next month.

  his older brother and himself plan on renting an apartment together and they just went to look at one in their price range.. yes i can have a guest bedroom now and a spotless bath for anyone visiting....... just feeling very sad about the youngest ready to be on his way which is only right.

  i suppose i won't feel so sad when we get the first request for financial assistance.. r..

  ohhhhh the midnight meal............... that was always the best. you never knew just how good it would be tho cause that varyied by cong. ive gotten steak, missed out on the lobster, when our hall was being built we had sonic lol.

  they always saved the good food that they didnt have enough of for everyone for the midnight meals. or some brother would pay for it because obviously if you were working when everyone else was asleep you were more deserving right........ lol

  what i always found funny was............ those fools would give the pioneers time if they worked at the hall projects. but only if they didnt make their 90 hours, and you had to get a damn letter stateing that you were there and that you were skilled in ways that others werent so they NEEDED YOU.

  same way with baptised people only................... didnt want you..................... unless they needed the warm bodies then they got hella lax about it.

  i said screw it................ if they are gonna give ANYONE field service time for working at a build it WILL be me. so i wouldnt bother with getting the damn letter......... i just added the time to my service time myself...... saved them time and effort.

  i got 130 hours one month

  yeah did tons of them........... apart from the normal sunburn and splinters i only got hurt once...............

  my dad shot me with a nail gun. saw him shoot something toward one of those metal braces they hold trusses together with........... had a puzzled look on his face like........... Where did that nail go? so he fired like three times before i felt something smack me in the hand................. and i was like OH HELL NO YOU DIDNT................ looked down and there was a nail sticking in my glove and out my glove. so i yelled for him to stop nailing(how the hell you gonna nail through steel anyways). showed him my hand and he yelled for me to go to first aid............. so i did.

  they thought i was jokeing and asked if it is in me. i said i hope not but i havent gotten up the nerve to look......... sure enough went in and out.

  of my pinky......... a couple milimeters to the right and it woulda missed me completely. got an idiot first aider who said he had to twist the nail out because they were attached together with a small wire.............. what did that have to do with anything..................he twisted and pulled and i was like....... dude i cant feel anything.

  it was colder than an eskimoes butt in january so my hand was numb from that.......... got some vitamin E rubbed on it to prevent scarring...... like i cared lol. and told to keep the hand out of the cold............. so needless to say i got outta doing anything else that build............. just got to eat and bragging rites. woooo hooooooo

  in your minds what is the worst part of the wtbs?

  the abuse issue, money, false teachings/doctrines, control?

  personally for me its the Lies.

  anyone can get something wrong and when they do, i will totally respect them if they hurry to fix the error by admiting they had it wrong.

  no religion gets it right 100% of the time but the good ones will be QUICK to admit a mistake after investigateing. they will make a statement and correct the wrong as best they can.

  the wt uses quotes from scholars since they dont have any proper qualified individuals with scholar credentials amongst themselves............... but they purposely misquote the scholar.

  you can read the article they quote from............ and its obvious that by the end of the scholar in questions comments that he belives the exact opposite and has made that case.

  any religion that is based solidly on lies........... is made up of liars. nothing they say can be trusted to be 100% pure. nor can anything they say be trusted to be for your benefit.............. if they outright lied then its for THEIR benefit.
