why would they remove bible verses from the bible?.
anyone knows why?.
It's a corrupt bible translation slanted toward JW theology.
God's preserved word in English in my humble opinion, is the King James Bible.
Do the research. Textus Receptus and Hebrew Masoretic Text( The true uncorrupted texts)
The Alexandrian/Westcott and Hort texts are what 90% of modern bibles are based on.
i just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.
also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.
i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.
yes still in, mainly due to wife. Other family is still in, but had i not been married, i'd just have disappeared entirely. It's a sham religion. Going to the meetings and field service is mind knumbing torture to me. God help us. I can't do it much longer. Hopefully the wife wakes up with subtle clues and progresive conversation.

I have a plan to hopefully (somehow) fade eventually.
Currently I'd lose Wife/Parents/In Laws, etc.
So basically most of my close fam. This will take some thoughtful planning to handle in the least painful fashion.

I def can. I feel like I live in my own world, and have to act when at meetings, or when spiritual things come up. Keep in mind, active MS here, bordering on Elder, but have avoided it through a couple of congo moves.
I sort of compare it to being unjacked from the matrix. Once bible truth, and the reality of this cult comes to light, there is no turning back. Apostate is just fancy for someone who can "see", or "feel".
I highly reccomend the movies "They Live", and "Equilibrium" to understand what it's like to be stuck in any cult for family reasons, and yet being completely aware that you are in a farse.
However, at times, when listening to the slick arguments at times, I catch myself saying, damn. Simple answers to a complex world, dont' ask questions and this is how you can live your life. No wonder so many generations of suckers fall for it. The best place to hide a lie is in between two truths, and that is what is going in on in all the false christian cults(Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Moonies), including JW.

stuck in a rut you are right about the conversations. VERY PHONY. SUPERFICIAL. So glad I just picked up a good old King James Bible and started reading God's word for what it is.
No human middle man needed.
As for the wife, I hope to God I can break through.
Friends in the ORG, and most family is conditional. They would shun you at the drop of a dime.

Lord this sounds like me. It's truly a tough situation. Sad thing is the wife is very intelligent, but when it comes the the org, it's the sacred cow. So, it's like this huge blind spot. Saddens me, because even though we have great moments together, not all is "right" between us. Our brains are in different places unfortunately.

i heard a recent convention mentioned this. To be "Strong in the Truth", you need to not make excuses to spend time or communicate with DF'd family. If you are inactive/faded then maybe they are just being extra spiritual. There were some experiences mentioned, about how Shunning DF'd ones by family is actually what made them go back!
first i made love to my wife, maybe i'm better in bed then i thought, because about an hour after that my wife comes back in and i'm sitting at my desk and i asked her, "when the elders df me are you going to leave me, spiritual endangerment and all" she said, no, i don't feel endangered and we talked awhile and i talked about da ing and not sure what to do, then i shared with her a toned down version of the da letter that i posted and that led to her asking about my beliefs and understandings of who the great crowd and 144k, heaven and earthly hopes.
i was even able to tell her how they changed or distorted the meaning of the word naos to show the great crowd not in heaven.
i was able to show her some of the scriptures from the da letter, able to tell her a little about 1914 and how jesus did'nt invisably come in a presence, showing her scriptures on that and some more ttatt.

All very helpful stuff. I can't stress how revealing and amazing that epiphany/matrix unjack moment is, when one realizes it! Holy crap, this is all a big sham! It's hard to accept, especially since many of us made/make big life decisions based on this house of cards false prophet. It's never too late :) Glad to here.
